I have been thinking about this for a while, since I started playing on the NA-server about a year ago, and my suggestion is simple really. If it is possible to alter the Market Price of certain items then this is a viable suggestion, since "most players" just gather silver and then buy whatever they need off the marketplace then it sure seems to me that it is being supplied by no more than 30% (just a wild guess) of the actively playing players, namely the ones who take the time to gather materials, and since there are some materials that are unobtainable (through nodes/workers) I just thought that those should have a much higher marketplace value reflecting the "Specials" (things that make our server/community unique) that we otherwise already have on our server.

Items like Coral Pieces are extremely hard to come by since some of the underwater gathering nodes are not gatherable leaving the gathering process of that particular item a long and hardly worth it endeavour, however if we could get a price bump up to make this item worthwhile gathering AND/or we could get a gathering amount bump up so that it does make sense to gather them at all, because anyone who has gathered them knows that it takes an enormous amount of time to gather these particular items in comparison to ALL other materials in the game.

Another example could be Logs, or any other gatherable item that is not in the marketplace simply because of the amount of time it takes to gather the material in comparison to the marketplace price you can sell it for, I have personally been trying to supply the marketplace with mushroom hypha of all the basic Alchemy kinds so that people can grow them and get those materials for themselves unfortunately very few players use farming and usually when they do they do not make more hypha to sell back to the marketplace, although it has gotten much better of late :)

Another item that is making me frown are the Cron Stones which have a price of 1million silver per stone, at TRI-Gear you usually have to use about 100 stones and with Accessories it is even more. As this is a unique server I was hoping that this was something that could be edited say to 100.000 silver per stone?
I know how "most players" usually do it because I read about the Failstack building and Cronstones on Reddit, and this is the quote I will use here for convenience:

    1. If you use cronstones, you don't get any failstacks.
    2. Even if an enhancement succeeds, it eats up your cronstones. Relevant to point 5).
    3. If you're using cronstones for TET (for example), you're better off (silver-wise) sniping TRIs and selling DUOs if you fail - same applied for PEN attempts. I know some (one?) people who cronstone TRI attempts cause they cbf making DUO stacks and have enough TRI stacks.
    4. If you're enhancing properly, you wouldn't use the same stack for lower enhancements if you fail. eg. If you fail TRI with 30fs (and it goes to 34fs), you wouldn't use that 34fs for TRI. You use another character with like 20fs to get it back to DUO for another TRI attempt (with the 34fs). The same applies for TET, which is how you build a 100fs - from like 10 TET fails after 50fs - which is a nice starting PEN (or TET accessory) stack for some.
    5. Don't think it comes out to similar cost. Even if it keeps downgrading and you keep 'burning' stacks. If you're doing it smart, you're going to at least have some stacks in the end to use for other gear.
    6. Accessories still have a good chance to downgrade if you use cronstones. (just saying)"
So I do know that changing the price of Cronstones might not have any effect at all but it is worthwhile thinking about.

If anyone has some more ideas or suggestions to this thread I would love to hear them.
