Gladiator gear question

Hello
So, I have an old account on gamezaion with some items, and now that I want to play again I realize that my gear is extremely weak.
I'm a gladiator using EGT set, ABG accessories and ABG+MASTA fused spear.
My main goal is to change my set because it is weak now with this new update. I was aiming to get any set that can be bought with crusible insignias but the only one that seems really worth is the NCC set. Can this set be bought normally? or its blocked like some others?
Should i change my EGT for a Divine Coliseum Champion set?
I was also thinking about buying ABG or Elite Archon Sentinel set, but i don't know how to get platinum and mithril medals.
About the spear and accessories I think it is not a priority atm.
If anyone can help me with my questions I'm grateful.

 

The only PvP items you can get with Crucible and Courage Insignias are level 55 fabled items with L1 conditioning and level 55 eternal items with L1 conditioning, the rest has been disabled.

Yes, I'd say you should switch from EGT to Divine Coliseum.

Platinum Medals has been removed from surveys so you can either buy them from other player/broker, do quest or change gold medals to platinum medals with the help of the fountain located in Reshanta. The same goes for Mithril Medal.

 

ABG accessories are workable, but you won't be putting out the insane DPS that the 3.7 players are doing now. I think the DCC set is about the same as the EAT, it may have more defense but the EAT has better slotting and you better DPS set effects. The NCC unfortunately cannot be purchased at the moment.

ABG is a good enough set and you can get it cheap enough from players. You will be at a disadvantage though, especially with the lack of Magical Suppression that the newer gear have. If you are able to afford an EAC set, I would recommend that over most. You can be a competitive pvper in that set. ABG can be bought with plats but EAC cannot be bought my by mith medals.

The best way to get platinum medals is to level characters to 55 and then getting the survey rewards.

 

in terms of damage you really should consider donating like 20 bucks or so for a weapon. extendable or whatever for ur main and combine it with abg which you can get with plat medals and some ap....

 

In an ideal world donations would be preferred.

However, As you are using EGT and such. I would recommend that you at the very least, go and try to work on some mithral and plat medal quests or trade for either if you do not wish to donate (Remember you can earn credits via voting every 12 hours).

While the very top tier sets are credit locked. ABG is available for AP and Plat medals, as are the last I was aware the yellow sets for L60, like EGT is to ABG.

As for an extendable weapon, that would be up to you but it is something to keep in mind as they are very useful. You can get away with lower tiered weapons and gear, but the extendable is almost a requirement. DDL is the best currently and would fuse well on top of a HaC weapon (both come to a total of about 5,500 credits with out looking.)

If you do wish to donate, your best bet would be to go about getting one of the L60 Extends and a HaC weapon to fuse under it (remember to augment first). Accessories and such can come over time be traded for our purchased with credits.

EAS is slightly better than ABG as it does have Magic Suppression on it (a stat that directly counters magic boost).

Only 1 more question, what about trading my crucible insignias into platinum medals ? isn't there a npc for it?

Ah another thing, what about crafting my own set? not worth it?

Crafted sets, are alright however they do not contain pvp % bonuses, most of those sets will have higher +hp / +mp and possibly other values to be higher as well.

Though, if you are looking to go more pvp, then you will need a pvp set. Crafted sets are typically more PvE based, but as with even the instance gear you are able to get they can prove to do well in pvp (group / zerg). It would show more in their lacking in 1v1 / smaller groups unless your group is skilled enough.

There was a time when MCD (Master Carved Drenium) was good enough for my on a cleric to be perfectly fine in pvp, that I do not think would be comparable to anything now given the damage output of some classes. Again, that also would be impacted by the server, Lumiel or Siel (Stigma / No Stigma). While the output of damage is still going to be higher on Lumiel, Siel having no stigma system and all of the skills available for players to use, makes for much more ability to punish lower gear tiers.

Crafted sets, also have some of the nicer remodels in the game, so while it may not be the most beneficial to use them for their stats; you might find people who would want to trade for some of the remodel skins.

 

Wait, insignias to plat medals exist. There is an npc, which gives you arena ticket, selling plat medal box for 9800 crucible, but the box gives you only 1 plat medal so not worth it.
