(You can skip this paragraph) I feel like trying something new and I was wondering which class should I go for... I want to be "in the front lines" of PvP and mainly I want to do some considerable damage, so I dismissed the Priest classes. I have a sin and I don't feel like going another Scout class so I'm not going ranger either. Then there are Mage classes, but well, I'm simply not a mage kind of person and as I've said, I want to be involved in close-range combat. So the last thing that remains is Warrior Class...

Both Glad and Templar have plate armor so their defense is quite good to start with. I kind of enjoyed playing Templar so far and I like the idea of being able to fight several enemies at once but what puts me off is the fact that it would take me quite a while to take my enemies down as well, especially Glads and other templars as the damage is not as big as with Gladiator. What I like about Gladiator is that it's a damage-dealer that can also withstand some damage from the others. I have to admit that I haven't played Gladiator that much and maybe I'm not familiar with some skills of theirs but somehow I get the feeling that they lack defensive skills (I'm not saying they don't have any)...

Now I can't decide which class to go for. I watched both Ablazed's Gladiator videos and Dranzell's Templar vid and they both made the classes look really appealing and I just don't know -.-

Templar is by far the superior class, for those who want to get their brain into the game.

templar can potentially defeat all classes and can handle multiple enemies..

unlike glad they may have good offense but their defense is too low.. glads are only good if they always have a priest accompanying him..

    Wait for it...

    AHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAAAHAHHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

A glad fighting with a Templar has the same result always: A ranger/sin that stays in hide around the Templar dies from AoEs.

Glad's can handle them, but they rely on knockdowns most of the time to do such. Personally I prefer templar over glad any day. x: Too many damn glad's on Private servers for some unknown reason. Temp's can dish out a shitload of damage with BP and keeping your hp up is never too hard aslong as you get a remove shock off once in the fight. Most meele's are they are at the moment can't dent my templar's hp for some reason and I don't own any pvp equips yet. x:

I also chose templar over glad because as a templar you get the pvp defence from the sheild, and iron skin where gladiators get wall of steel (broken btw, parry's more then it should) leading to higher pvp defence then any other class if your using a sheild / mace or sword / sheild and weapon swap to use BP for devastating damage with a greatsword. Being able to pull people is always great fun, because people can't kite aswell as they could be able to. -Extendable pull range is pretty nice, should be about 21m with a greatsword on your notmal pull, remove shock pull is 31m-

So eh... Yea, I will leave it at that. As a gladiator you do get your cleave + ankle snare, but that's it for holding people, other then most of the time you want an extendable polearm as a gladiator for 6+m range on all your skills..

Just depends on your play style. As it stands, most glad's that are equally geared to me, don't stand much of a chance unless I can't get unwavering up. BP tends to be a miniture nuke.

Isn't siel the server with all the stigma's? <.< If that's the case then theres no point in argueing on why you think glad's are "the shit." So they can use several weapons, and their knockdown rate is bugged at the moment. So what?

As I was saying, the classes differ between the player behind them. If you like the survivability of a temp, go temp. If you like the "vast arsenal of weapons" Go gladi. But keep in mind, most glad's require weapon swapping depending on the situation.
You get a smart player behind any class, it becomes a killing machine if played properly.

Also depends on where your pvping. In the air, glad's win it in my honest opinion, (I can't pvp in the air for shit on my temp, and for good reason. xD -Generally gets lost- ) But on the ground it's a pretty interesting setup between the two. Temps can rape all sort's of stuff without much problem, glad's can kinda do the same. Though templars are heavily gear dependant, so are gladiator's.

It does depend in my opinion if your playing on a stigma system or one where your just given everything. Being given everything would make gladiator more.... enjoyable I guess.

But a stigma system can change everything.

If your playing with a stigma system, I would suggest looking at the stigma planner and seeing what you can do / what you'd like to do.
