    You don`t get 1 gold medal a day. It`s been a while since I`ve played retail, so I forgot... but from what I remember, there is a few forts a day and each gives out certain amount of gold medals depending on what spot are you on the DPS list on the general. Depending on the day of the week and how many forts are going on, sometimes you can get 15, sometimes 5... but all in all, it takes 1 or 2 days to get your medals for 1 piece of armor (ofc assuming you are the winning nation).
