As a regular forumvisting user I would like to voice some concerns over the management of this community since the recent staff departure which happened to include myself.

It has come to my attention that certain GMs have formed alliances and allegiances to admins of both past and present, some have tied themselves to me and some have tied themselves to Karissa.

This has lead to some very strange forum moderation where members of each little faction go out of their way to enforce the most communist-styled moderation humanly possible totally disregarding the spirit of the rules. Members of each little "faction" are far more likely to receive infractions for utterly arbitrary things that barely violate the rules if at all.

Another common trait is threads are often locked purely because they can be regardless if they're no worse than any other open thread or are completely innocent of rule violations.

That has been dreadfully apparent today where I've not only received two infractions and then a warning for the same thing which would arguably not even be worth a warning but then the closure of this thread - http://forum.gameznetwork.com/showthread.php?t=40711

Unfortunately the community doesn't really care if you're an [AM] or not, if your signature contains pornographic content of some hussie being covered in male ejaculate thinly veiled as milk (hunny no milk no this planet sticks like that) people are kinda going to as... what the hell. A user would not get away with it and a staff member most certainly should not, the aforementioned linked thread has unanimous agreement from the community members who posted that the content was not only inappropriate but outright tasteless.

Abusing powers bestowed upon you to ninjaclose the thread and pretend it never happened just because you dislike the people in it is not permittable or excusable, you choose to be a staff member and you are therefore answerable to the members of the community.

AMs need to pull their shit together and get ingame and leave the moderating to the forum moderators, there's a reason you were chosen for that over forum moderating in the first place. Paying tribute to your fallen idol is all well and good but no one particularly cares for it. [IMG]
