History Lesson

How many of you remember Albull?

I'm assuming theres a large chunk of members that don't really know about him or remember him. Well, Albull was at one point a co-admin of Gamez. He was a veteran GM and widely known across the community. We didn't really have any forum moderators at the time, so he moderated as an AM, but only when he had to and never before that. Even then, he was really the only one to do so and because of that, he was our very first known Super Moderator. When he moderated threads, he didn't just send out infractions, he warned people nicely, warned people nicely again in PMs (sometimes), and if someone was insulting or something, he edited out their words with things like "bunnies" instead. He was patient, and despite how many people hated him for closing threads here or there, the truth was he never closed a thread until it truly deserved it. If people ignored the warnings, it was gone, but not before that.

Now how many of you have heard of Socks?

Socks was one of our first moderators, hired alongside Edixoid with Iblockwithsheild to follow shortly after. Socks moderated everything he could see, he made short meaningless posts to raise his post count every time he closed a thread and eventually just started deleting things because he got impatient with them. People got so mad at Socks' moderation that they actually stood up and there was such a unanimous hate against him that he got fired for over-moderation.

Just saying :3 little history lesson for certain people out there. "We should give infractions to this guy hurhur" is a good example of -certain people-.

 

Dementa deserves a thread since he joined before any of those people you mentioned.

Never heard of Socks , but a few people could draw a lesson from the last two paragraphs .

And then there was Sanctus.


I think~ gaining respect isn't just about the 'title' AM or that you say you work hard, but it's also your attitude and how you treat others with respect as well, even if they're saying you're worthless. You can't really be selective who you're nice to, and since those colored named represent the server itself, it's better if you carry yourself out in a more friendly manner.

 

oo Socks was a troll. I remember that. Anything in general discussion would get shut down for sure.

Albull seemed mean but was really nice once you got to know him ;D

Actually that thread reminded me that he was always the one that caused drama and made a scene of things, but I was the one in for demotion. lol~
