How broken is the Tamer?

So I've been playing the game like 2 weeks now and this is my first time playing this game. I am currently using a Tamer, some of you might seen me in-game (Mooks) always doing solo farming. Been enjoying her for PvE purposes since my sets are still a mix of Pri and Duos and I plan to bring her to PvP, but some people says the Tamer is broken.

So how broken is the tamer?
On what aspect is the tamer broken?

If she really is broken I might swap to another character in where to spend my hard earned silvers. Thinking of going through Valkyrie.

 

She used to be broken due to the air attack multipliers not being a factor (2.5x damage) on a lot of her attacks, that was fixed a while back which made sorc and tamer more viable, though with tamer she does need more gear (just like a lot of other classes) to be good.
