How I solved my never Ending Lag problems...

As many of you guys know that when you are fighting out there on a raid and you meet up with some Asmodians/Elyos you will get some lag spikes and such. with a Zerg you just pray to god you wont freeze lag and get back in game and your just a dead corpse on the road to be called " Noob " by some random player lol.

I had a Laptop with some great GREAT specs in it and its pretty new don't get me wrong xD just bought it this year.. Im talking about i7 proccessor Quad core etc.. BUT its actually a bad thing for a laptop..It causes your laptop to overheat faster,It can't really handle all those high spec items you have in it so on and on. So this causes you to lag and making you turn down graphics till you are back to the Mario days graphics...

How I solved this epic lag problem xD
I decided to buy a desktop and build it from scratch in 1 day.. with a good Graphics Card , Power supply etc. Even my proccessor is i3 or i5 Don't really remember right now but its lower than my laptop.. So I transfered Aion etc all the painful proccess to this new Desktop of mine. Went on Everything and i mean Everything is on high/Max graphics etc Including all the effects weather etc. I had a Lonely Island moment of Jizz in my Pants
when I started playing. Everything was amazingly awesome xD, So I went out there to do some pvp straight on to the zerg area.. And OMFG I had never played so smooth in aion ever since i played it lol.. If theres 50 or more Asmodians I would maybe maybeee get a 5% quick lag ( hardly noticable or w/e spelling it is lol ) Over all with a desktop even with a lower spec in parts in it, It's alot better than a laptop!

I am mentioning this because people thinks its the server that makes you lag everytime ( including my self before xD) but its mostly what you have especially if you are using a laptop.. I made this post so that it may help the other players out there lagging like a mofo every single day of his/her life wanting to bash/smash their computers to bits xD!

P.S. I posted this here because Im a noob forumer and I don't know where it really belongs xD

 

There are 2 kinds of lag:

+Graphics lag: When your graphics processor can't handle all the stuff you're making it do, resulting in choppy framerates and freezes.
+Latency lag: Unrelated to graphics problem, this is based on the network configuration between your machine and the server.


Yours falls into the first category, I guess.

 

well like I said my laptop have a good graphics card in it and an awesome proccessor etc but its too much for a laptop to handle I suppose.. thanks though xD

 

This is just a case of your laptop overheating, it's more of a personal problem and doesn't happen universally to everyone that owns a laptop. The reason why you can run aion better on a desktop is because desktops and laptops are different(you can get a desktop for 500 dollars with the right knowledge of computer parts and run most modern games perfectly) the same doesn't apply to laptops because the parts for them are usually more expensive

There is no such thing as an i7 processor being bad for you unless you don't have the proper power supply to run it efficently or the proper cooling system

 

stop the porn dl and dnt have lag PP >_< (jst kidding:3)

 

there are several types of factors slowing down your machine, even if you have I7 processors, wrong turn could make it worst than I3.

so here are some tips.
- Defrag
- Updated Graphic Card drivers
- Indexing
- Delete your porn
- Clean out your garbage
- Clean out temp files.

when i started playing 2.1 here on gamez i ran my machine with High Graphics and getting average of 30-60fps in gelk, but after a while of playing, garbage accumulation i noticed my graphics aren't able to run as it used to, it dropped its fps horribly to 12fps in gelk zerg... now that's unplayable. sooooo, i did some maintenance on my OS and got be back on track.

but latency lag is still there, is used to be able to play 200-300ms with sin, now during combat even in pve i notice my latency gets worst up to 400-500ms, but it's ok, its not that frequent really. still getting some spikes from time to time up to 5secs which causes everyone to freeze then goes back to normal and i believe it's not just me who encounters that.

 

don't mean to be rude or anything, BUT!, Dude, I know there are different things causing lags than just having a crappy PC. and mine happens to be the lame connection.. and you're not even considering other stuffs, and just assumed that it's all some crap PC thingy.

 

you clearly didnt read this post right or something lol. I was saying that it's too much for a laptop for a high spec because it overheats faster even with a cooling system. I never said that having a i7 Proccessor was a bad thing. Its just not that great for laptops because it doesnt have the right power supply to support it when it comes to gaming. And I pretty much mentioned why its better to get a desktop as well.

 

There are and this was My problem geez read my post first xD it was my problem not all thelag problems out there im well aware of diff types of lag xD

 

Yeppp did all that~ defrag every day as well. scanning everymorning xD.. temp files etc.. Even my precious delicious porns T_T ( lolz joking? maybe XP) but yeah I just mentioned this because it was MY problem on my end, and maybe someone out there might try this with some cash and be helpful <3

 

I'll just use my laptop for pornz dl now hehehe... just kiddin xP

I'd recommend CCleaner for cleaning out the nasty trash.

Like I said, just because you think your cooling system is good doesn't mean it is. They didn't invent an i7 processor so that people could buy it and throw it away because it "overheated" their laptop. I have an i7 and my laptop is practically an air conditioner in itself because I actually know how to set up a proper cooling system

Not looking to start a fight just saying you should look up on newegg.com for new fans because you're not using your laptop for things like aion when it is perfectly capable of running it on max settings if you're telling the truth about it being a good laptop

 

now imagine how I feel when I get max 7FPS everywhere in Aion :< lul
