how long does it take?

how long does it take to transfer a character? when will i know if the transfer was a success?

 

After you request the transfer, stay off of that account for 30~ mins. It should also let you know when the transfer is done. Read the instructions under the "Player transfer service"

 

for me it takes only 3-5 minutes.

 

As written on the page after the transaction, you are supposed to be offline during the transaction and continue being so for 10-15 minutes. So basically the transfer should happen within that span of time. However, if after the said time (20-30 minutes of waiting or so) and you still see a notification that you have a pending character for transfer, chances are, the transfer failed and you will have to do it again.

I don't see any reasons for transfers to fail if players follow the given instructions carefully. I know people who just transfer their characters back-and-forth without problems because they follow the instructions thoroughly.
