How to get Magic Bullet for Incarnation of Illezra quest?

I'm trying to finish the quest line and I keep getting 1 hit by the boss and I read online that you need a Magic Bullet of Last Hope or something along those lines. I've talked to the guy mentioned in the quest summary and he sends me to a house that has floating books, but the book just says '...'. I checked around for other items to interact with as well as the other location with floating books with no luck. I think its supposed to give me the name of the item, and then I'm supposed go back to the guy and give him a fireflake flower and a black stone powder, but I'm not getting the name so I can't get the quest in order to make the item.

 

It's "Magic Bullet of Last Hope", did it a couple of days ago. Give Brorum (trade manager in Tariff) Fire Flake Flower (randomly gatherable from any wild herb just outside Tariff) and Black Stone Powder (buy any crystal from a jeweler and grind it). You'll receive a rifle. The rest is simple - summon boss, get to a safe distance, equip rifle, and shoot it (4-5 shots are needed).

 

I knew what I needed to do the quest but not how to *get* the quest to begin with. I finally figured it out by forfeiting the quest to kill the Illezra Incarnation and taking it again. I think it didn't like that I had already summoned Illezra before talking to Brorum.
