How to get recognized ?

They tried to compensate the broker for the online exchange system. How can we use the kinah then without any items to spend it on? Through trade? No one can be trusted now at days using trade, lol. It's either "add sir" or "omg he scammed me GM! Ban pls!"

 

I personally will make sure that this gets forwarded to Lautaro regarding your concerns. Thanks for the suggestions we will see what we can do. I'll keep you posted.

If Carl never knows what this place has come to, then it all is seriously for naught.

 

There are a lot of stuff to change really but none of us are able to access the server files to make changes. The only one I know who they used to trust and can have access to the server is Ari.

 

He obviously trusted "devs" with the installation of the new update enough to let them f**k up the server.
What really irks me about this is how he doesn't even have the face to tell the community that it was his mistake,
For months he has buried his head in the sand. It's frustrating to see a server with so much potential go down.

 

Hey everyone,

So I read most of the comments, and I agree with them. I have technically been a part of Gamez Network since it first launched, back when free fly did exists, back when Crystal aion existed to give a sense of normal play to retail. I have tried to come back to Gamez repeatedly over the years, when I wasn't GM or admin on some other server and i always keep leaving. Just like today I almost left again, but I am trying to stick it out the best that I can, but boy is it hard.

I log in and I farm non stop to be able to craft scrolls and such for PvP, (been playing 2 weeks nearly). During this last week I have been so frustrated over various things such as; Gear and lack of support. I'm not saying our AM's are doing a bad job, Dimi is doing a damn good job and is forever trying to answer my questions about the server, but they cannot answer all of my questions. Since I have been here I have yet to see 1 SAM on at all, but i'm told they exist, but yet I have not seen them on and I am practically on 24/7. Of my years as gm/admin, I know life can take over and sometimes you just have to put the game aside and do you, but typically there has always been other gms/admins to fill in the void of the absence of me or other staff members. If life is taking over take like 5 minutes and make a post saying something, you don't have to go into detail, but anything would be nice to let us the players know the admins/staff are still alive.

As far as the gear aspect goes, it frustrates me that the server is pay to win (I know it's been like this for a long time now), but we should still be able to acquire gear in game without having to pay cash for it (yes i know we can vote). There are armor sets that aren't as good as the Arbitrator or EA sets, but yet we still can't get them in the game. We cannot get shepards weapons without a SAM being online and I haven't seen one in the near 2 weeks I have been here (as I said above). I tried to purchase gears and it says it's been disabled, why not make it so you have to be of rank to buy the shit in game (instead of rank 9 everything) and just disable the ranks to wear the gear. I've seen it done like this on many private servers..... This way players like myself can enjoy the server without having to worry about months of voting to get the "best" gear. This part aside I can deal with the gear for now, since I know I can get normal shepards/ambassadors gear in a weeks time or sooner if I do IS.

In the end my main issues comes down to the support, max I see on asmos side is 102 on a weekend and most times during day/evening hours i see maybe 70 members online. yet we supposedly have 3k players on, but where are they because I don't see them....

I think the server needs to make some changes if they want to keep the player base and potentially grow even more.

p.s I tried to keep it as constructive as I could without raging/qqing in anyway, if it comes across that way I apologize.

 

Good point, I completely for got to check this out too since it's been a while.

"3000+ players", this made me facedesk a bit ... This might been correct when GamezAion had it's good days, but now there are barely 200 players just on Siel, not to mention Lumiel (there are just around 20-30 on very good days?). Same as the mentoring system which is not really working anymore since new player are starting with level 60 and the level difference need to be 10 levels in between the characters. There are a few things which are just old and nobody cared to update them as it seems like.

Everything has a front and back side, you know, and you need to see both sides before judging someone, imo. Just because Brai and I didn't talk about such things with everyone, doesn't mean we didn't care or were not involved in helping out. But as you can see, it's not the staff's fault. They really give their best, but sometimes it takes a bit more like actually access to be able to make a project and make people happy, which is not possible as already mentioned.

I have said it many times, Carl is here. He use to check forum every day because I have seen him online many times. Still asking myself where he is and when he'll feel like fixing things or give a simple reasoning why this is so how it is right now and what is the future plan. I know Lau is here and giving his best. I appreciate it a lot and I told him, I can help if he needs anything, but everyone has his restrictions sometimes since he's mainly responsible for the different websites and Carl is responsible for updates and in-game concerns. It's always been this way. Doubt that will change either.

 

Carl just logs on for like 5 minutes, literally. What's the point of checking forums just to skim through some stuff? He should at least show some worry about the player base, but instead we get not even a glimpse of what's going on. Lautaro we all do appreciate yes, but it's hard as he's literally the only active one. As for the other staff they are also really doing a good job. It's just we need that extra push for the admins. Honestly 1 admin shouldn't be doing all the work if it's suppose to be a "team."

I know everyone here have a lot of reasons to complain about the server and his issues, i know because i'm here for so long and i'm watching all the things that happened to the server this last 4 years.
I just want to make it clear that the Staff Team is doing everything possible to make your in game experience better, making events, trying to give others alternatives related to issues there are here for more than a year. Unfortunately the H.GM, S.AMs, AMs and Trainnes are not able to do everything in this server, there are some things that only the Administrators can do.
I know everyone above are upset about the current problems our server have, and make a thread to point this things probably will not help, since they already know every problem, every bug, and they still there, maybe they are planning another thing, waiting for some lucky that the next update will fix everything, i don't know, we doesn't know...
I just want to ask kindly for you guys try to let this thread out of spamming or break any of the forum rules, as Illusions already said above, he will forward the requests and everything that's happening to Lautaro.

It's not spamming the thread it's just everyone stating their experiences/concerns. Everyone should be open to expressing their suggestions. Dismissing people is not good, either.

I believe this answers a lot. People see an admin and think they can solve any problem. No, because each admin has his personal "department" I guess. Yes, Lau can help, but he can't do everything either especially when it's about something server related which needs to be done in the server files directly. This is the main reason why some of the event ideas just never got into the game itself. See my point?

Hi @Louy and @Illusions, we'll be good kitties. Just discussing things and since this is not hot spam, we'll keep it clean as much as possible and as I have noticed there were no off-topic posts by now. I just hope that this thread won't be just closed with an answer like "We'll take into it." or "Thanks for the suggestion, we'll consider it." or something along those lines. I believe many people got tired after so many threads like this one and there were no results till now too.

 

Yes that does answer a lot. But does Carl honestly think Lau can do everything for him if he's ONLY the manager of the websites? It has to be team work. Everyone has to do their part. Carl has to contribute. It's his server, after all. And maybe this thread should be moved to Hot spam...xD

 

Everyone appreciates the Staff of AMs and up stopping short of our Mystery CEO, Carl. This is aimed to hopefully prod him into some interaction, really it isn't to berate him. And @Lautaro is mentioned more because he's got the best access to Carl that I know of, so the hope is that some pressure from the community combined with pressure from Staff both current and former members including Carl's partner Administrator Lautaro. As far as I can see, there are no rules that are being abused or broken although I can see how it might make those it's intended for feel a little awkward. But that is of course, the point. We want to help, we've been saying it forever now. The Staff wants to help and do what they can in the mean time, all they need is the tools to really help. How many great staff members have resigned now due to the same repetitive issues? Too many and several of them posted on this very discussion. And that's all this is, a discussion on the status of our community, our server and what we feel is happening to it and how it might be improved. It's placement on this forum was chosen for that specific reason. No insults are meant and we understand you are merely looking to do your job, but as the topic is going. We are trying to look to the Server Administrator to do his job as all his staff seem perfectly capable of during theirs and without pay.

I do agree on some points of yours. Sadly this is not the first thread as already mentioned and I do hope that someone of those two will notice this thread and make them think a little bit since the situation is not a joke anymore for the last few months. A few of us were on staff and I remember checking the population daily. It was and still is very critical and I don't really know anymore what level GamezAion needs to reach so they actually realize what to do and how to fix it. Not by lying. I would really start with the core which is the server itself. When you are selling a good looking product, you might be able to sell it for a few time, but once the costumer opens the product and tries it out, he won't come back again or even give a good feedback to their friends or families since they noticed that the product itself is crap. If I replace GamezAion with this product, it's going to be the same thing. A player joins the new community, sees that the package was great, gave good promises like free fly etc and then it comes out there is nothing like this on this server, so this person might stay for a few weeks just to make sure not to miss a detail and then leave. You really think this player will recommend this server to someone else? I highly doubt it. See what I mean?

This is just my own opinion, maybe I have a point there or not.

 

Agreed. I'm tired of numerous threads like this getting ignore and nothing happening. I think we should keep this thread civil and active as possible until we get a response from one of the Admins, possibly a response from @Carl as his department is In-game/Updates. I believe the community - Us the players, who have kept this server alive for over 5 years by our donations etc, deserves an answer. I just don't want them making the same mistake as what they did with Lumiel, by waiting until it's to late. Prevention is key.

 

@Zay sorry for not taking your request, but I've been so much busier than usual for the last few weeks.

And to the rest of the community, I do the best I can to help you with the problems we currently have, however, and as it has been mentioned in this thread, what I do is forum/website related, no server side or in-game stuff (that's Carl's side). I know we're going through some hard times right now, but I can assure you that's being worked on. I read all your replies and I agree with most of you, we the Admins are the ones responsible for keeping the network's rep and game playable.

No important thread goes unnoticed around here. I'll have you guys updated on the server bug fixes & updates asap.

P.S. only serious replies in this thread. spam will be deleted, so keep it cool.

 

Looking at the webshop and freshly implemented lottery, I think that proves that at least Lau does give a damn about the community and works for it.
However, around this time a lot people are busy with those pesky things called "exams", so we have to consider this a possible factor of delaying update schedules too.

Ranting should be avoided here as much as possible, although I have the bad feel that this thread might turn into a rantfest at some point.

Sadly, we need Carl and as I said your resources are limited too, which is fine. You have enough to do especially with the new things which just got released. It's just sad to see that the forum and website are getting active while the game itself is getting worse and worse. Isn't there a possibility to get Carl back on track of things? Like poke him and talk? I'm very aware that people have a real life outside the game community, but I believe there is a border, which he definitely cross for the health of this community. It's been now 6 months and he's not here. Going on invisible on forum to check it now and then won't be counted for me as active as he's actually just there for a few minutes and gone again. It takes a little bit more to be active.

I have also heard that he was so busy the few months which starts sounding absurd to most of us. How can some others set up a few fixes within a week or two and Carl needs 6 months for it? I can name a few people who are in the position to make a simple test server and give the H.AM the possibility to start fixing things just like Ari used to do so. Carl was just there to apply the new files into the server files. It's not THAT difficult. Yes, it consumes time and patience, but if you set yourself a goal to give the community a better place to play on, it's possible and will be easily done within a few weeks, but not months. If Carl is not feeling the same way or think he has the time to do so, why he's not just admitting that he can't and you two can figure out to get a new admin additionally to the current ones who actually would love to help and fix what is broken? Kind of making two Carls with the same access to the server files and all needed things.

Let's look at it from the finance perspective. Fixed server with all the promised features (fully 4.7 and not 4.6) = More donations, more support from the community which as they are satisfied. I believe that's very self-explanatory. X3

As I already said, Lau is doing his job as he should. Nobody was complaining about him, just to clear this as I guess people got this a bit wrong. This is mainly about Carl being MIA while GamezAion, the game, not the website/forum, are getting worse and worse. Staff has noticed this a long time ago, Brai and I were there too. I believe that Carl hasn't realized it yet, I can't explain it more than that, and it's time to use the break before it's too late.

As far as I know, Carl has no exams or such as, I can be wrong on that, of course, since I never really had the possibility to talk to him. I wish I would be able to talk to him but this never came up.

This also shows that he wasn't informed at all what contains the 4.7 update back in Nov. 2014. So I have a question. How can someone make an update without knowing about the new items (who knows maybe there was more) which got released with it? Is he the one making the updates or "devs" from foreign countries? My point is that he seems like he's not informed at all since the last update which makes me think about 4.8 which will probably hit NA in June.
