idian question

what is idian basically and how do i earn it? i've seen idian item options but dont know what that means

 

They're like manastones that gives additional stats to your weapons. Like conditionings, there will be a time that Idians will power down, meaning you have to socket a new Idian. The stats can be anything you want, Magical attack, Physical attack, Magical Defense and Physical Defense. You can earn Idians from quest, ain't familiar on the name of the quest but its on katalam and in danaria(from the shugo that ports you to steel rose instances).

 

oh, i thought its permanent like what godstones do. btw, does it make a big difference to your weapon w/o an idian in it from the one that already has?

 

It doesn't make a huge difference, but myself got crit+38 with an Idian, of course there are different kind of idians, now that Idian Depths is open you can craft a few idians that are somehow "fabled".

"If you enchant a weapon that is already enchanted with Idian, the previous Idian effects will disappear and will be overrided by the the new ones.
When dual wielding (for example 2 daggers), only Idian effects on the main hand weapon will activate. When armfusing two weapons, only Idian effects on the primary weapon will activate.

If the Idian says - 2 magical attack , this means it would give you 2 magical stats, I think random ones...For example: magic boost +20 and magical accuracy + 10"
