In light of the revelation of hacking, etc...

I think the game should have all players items opened to /examine. Yes, just click a character, type /examine, even opposite race, and you can see their items. Yes, I know you can just right click them and do it, but this works for opposite race. And seems you have longer range with this method.

Why?

No finger pointing, but alot of suspicion is floating around and I am sure there is a tiny bit of truth to it.

So, to alleviate some of this tension that is growing on the server, all characters should have their characters available to be examined by players. Any suspicious items found can then be reported.

no need to, if admins really wanted to check stuff? they could easily query that in the database and see what everybody had in their accounts... but the thing is, they just don't have the time, they rather pickup money in western union than do that.

 

But with my suggestion, everyone would be held to a higher level of honesty. I often wonder why a mage can ultra machine gun spells at me sometimes. I just shrug and reset back to my obelisk, no biggie.

 

Break the mechanics of the game in order to alleviate the "suspicion" floating around? I don't think so. It would just result in a litany of accusations from those who seek nothing more than to create drama. If you run around believing that there's some conspiracy against the masses, you most likely will bend whatever "evidence" you encounter to support your erroneous belief. It's a self fulfilling prophecy.

I find it offensive that many of you doubt the AMs to this extent. We're all dedicated to what we do; when reports of suspicious activity are submitted to us we always follow through. When we fail to find sufficient evidence of any wrong doing it's most likely because it *does not exist*. There is no favoritism nor is there any malicious intent among staff towards certain players. If you believe that there's *any* suspicious activity being engaged by players or even members of staff feel free to contact the AMs of your server. All of us would be glad to help; it reflects poorly on us as a whole when such instances occur unpunished.

As for the ridiculous accusations earlier. It's easy to track what players have what items. The item in question was not in that player's possession. Nothing more need be said.
