Is this even possible?

Ok I just have a question on what were the max range of rangers now? coz this Christiner is hitting me from 40m, I did even noticed he can shoot at me at 50m but I dont have the SS on it.





Any comments from the staff will be greatly appreciated. TY

I was flying away from the horde of elyos at 1st then I was entagled at 40m and died. So what I did was to do the same thing attack the forteress alone and lure the rangers out and see who was the one attacks beyond 40m. So I think my strat is good luring this ranger and hitting me for 40m.

Sniper stance does increase rangers range, but slows them down significantly. So 1-2 shots from that distance is possible I guess, but then they'd be out of range. Seems fishy to me, but I've played ranger too little to say for sure.

 

Enlighten me how the range can increase to 40m or even 50m (Lucky for him I dont have the SS) with sniper stance since it will slow him down.

 

I think it's bug or distance glitch.

 

wouldn't say it's a hack, but more like bugs.

i play a ranger, sometimes i see my skills usable even when i'm like 30m to 35m away from the target.
don't ask me why because i don't know why too.

another weird thing i found out, sometimes when i'm near to the target, yet i can't use my skills. not debuffed or anything.

oh well..

 

Well if im playing with my ranger, an error message will display shooting players beyond 40m. So for me, I dont think this is just a bug coz if it was my rangers attack range should also be affected or I just dont know how to exploit that bug?

 

maybe it has something to do with lag ?

 

I've seen it on 1.9, a ranger hits 57m when we're at heiron. I just don't know how to exploit that bug.

 

perhaps so. somehow very lag when there are players from the other faction. my guild members have the same problem too.

I just want an official statement from a GM abot this. Since I have seen threads were people get banned or jailed because of this distance bug.

 

Nope, I think it's not lag. When I saw it before. We were on ground while the opponents were on the mountain 50m~ above the ground while the other ranger from asmo hits the elyos, just normal attacks though.

yup, many others were banned due to this bug exploit. But, I'm not really sure about this idea of mine.

 

If on PVP that would be a terrain glitch but I this one is a different story because I think we are flying to an almost same altitude. So maybe he did exploit some bugs. But my mind is clouded atm, and i've been trying to do this on my ranger atm, shooting someone @ 40m and above but it wont let me even with the sniper stance.

 

Well I think the problem is similar. I've seen ranger hitting above 30m while flying. It's a glitch that only rangers can do both in air and in land.
