Agreed but in this world we live in now it's all about power and all about the green. People don't see fit to help those in need. I can't count the times i've seen a homeless person on the street when i went to mc donalds and i made sure to get them something. We had one that used to come into wendys where i worked and our boss used to make sure he was packed with food before he left. But sadly there are few people in the world that care to even look at those less fortunate and at least do something small to put a smile on their face. And in the end i consider those people worthless and replaceable.

Agreed, in the end, when you look back at your life, and notice that you made no difference whatsoever, it will be a very humbling and pitiful moment for you. I've always tried to help others, if you can't go to bed without saying you made a difference, no matter how tiny, then you didn't live that day.

I hope you people realize, every little thing you do DOES make a difference. One person can't change the world, but you can change the world for another person, and trust me, its worth it.

We do care about people, but we also care about our manga/favorite shows and dont want them to be delayed. And this thread is about the later.

It's shallow when you compare someone's life with a tv show. You can lie to yourself about it all, but in the end, if you're actually worried about a show being delayed cause of this tsunami, there's no empathy there. I guess it is "simple" though. Some people are just superficial.

    Simple words:

If you love manga, love japan.

If you respect manga, respect japan. Why?

Becoz manga itself come from Japan. Respect the origin.
And if you love and respect, you care. Period.

Are you kidding me? This is a serious deal with manga and anime, as well as games. Think about it. Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong! games you grew up with created by Shigeru Miyamoto. Wtf will happen to the new zelda game if he's dead. Naruto: Masashi Kishimoto, what if he died too? No more naruto releases, A manga I truthfully love and enjoy today.

    Bleach: Noriaki Kubo
    One Piece: Eiichiro Oda
    Mario, Donkeykong, Zelda: Shigeru Miyamoto

They where HUGE influences in my life, and if they where to parish because mother earth was pmsing I'll be pissed because their legacy will not continue without them. Who can make a better family friendly game for ALL ages like Shigeru Miyamoto, nobody! who could create manga flawlessly like naruto, bleach, and onepiece other than Masashi Kishimoto | Noriaki Kubo | Eiichiro Oda.....Nobody because it was their own original idea. There are many mangas/games that we all grew up with, so son't go saying it's a joke because we are worried about a deadline, it's Fcking serious! I'll cry if the new zelda game is not released! I'll cry if Yo Yo Ma died! and if you don't know who that is, shame the hell on you for not knowing a damn thing about a Country you're willing to rage someone els over for when it's people like us who appreciate and love manga/games/ AS WELL AS THEIR MUSIC ARE TRULY GRIEVING OVER THIS!!!!!!

    Asian Kung Fu Generation
    Beat crusaders
    The pillows
    Sambo Master

and many more. You can go sht on yourself if you don't know at least 1 of these bands.

Kensuke Kita is the reason why I picked up the guitar.

The point is, Just because someone is worried about the deley doesn't mean their joking about it. It's some serious sht man.

To everyone who thinks delayed manga is a joke because their favorite artist may have passed.

    GO TO HELL

Seems like there's serious butthurt and major logical flaws coming from OP's defenders.

TL;DR: OP made it sound like a joke, which wasn't his intention [maybe], and it was unacceptable.

You don't f'cking call someone to "Go To Hell" because he/she doesn't agree with you.

I pity what the human race has become. Listen to yourself, you don't care about any of those people, you care about the freaking things he made. So materialistic.

Let me ask you this, what about the 10,000 other people who died? If your artist survived, but they didn't, you wouldn't care. And thats pathetic and pitiful. Theres thousands of people in need of aid, and all you can worry about is your pathetic comics and music, not their lives, their misery, or their need for help.

And people always wonder why there's so many theories on how the human race is devolving. People like you, sir, are the reason.

"OH NO, JAPAN GOT HIT BY A TSUNAMI, MY PRECIOUS MANGAS WILL BE DELAYED A BIT!"

    /shakes head in disappointment.

Would you care if someone on the news died more than if someone who influenced you died? your mom maybe?
Of course I care. Did I say I didn't care about the other people who died? NO. I just don't want people flaming other people because they said "I hope my manga doesn't get delayed" when that manga is work to be appreciated. And don't you dare say I don't care when come graduation I'm going to see if I can join an organization to help out japan. Have you thought about flying over there to help rebuild japan and help their loved ones be found dead or alive. You know how many bodies weren't found yet? Don't say I don't care when I plan to help them. Those who died where even children who could have became great engineers/doctors/ or entertainers. Don't say "people like you" when you don't know a thing about me.

Yes, you don't "call" someone, you "tell" someone "Go To Hell" and it's not because they disagree with me, it's because they make it seem as if the artist of such entertainment don't matter as much as the others who have been killed.

Life goes away planning. If you do travel over there, kudos. I won't be able to, although I've been raising as much money and supplies as possible recently. And, once again, the way you wrote it, you made it seem like the mangas were more important than the other people's lives. I may not know a thing about you, but it doesn't matter. Your last post was purely materialistic. At least you admit that there are MORE important things than manga. The world's trying to rebuild a country that could have extreme radiation issues and the economy is completely shattered. And no one cares about mangas right now, and for good reason. Its not a priority.

    Simple as that.

This entire thread is retarded, I'm sure manga is at the very top of the list after an 8.9 earthquake and tsunami's... oh wait.

Economy is completely shattered because major companies who had a big impact on their economical status where destroyed. Take one of the leading car brands Honda. The main building of Jump. Gonzo, Bones, and other anime studios. Big impact on the economy. Most of all, The people who bought and worked to pay taxes. Everything plays a big part in a country and when something major is destroyed it's a BIG deal. So people do care about manga corporations, college universities, the kids who where planning on becoming someone in the future. Those who had hopes and dreams of becoming manga artist/ game developers/ doctors/ engineers. Those kids could have been the next CEO of something amazing.

    It's not so simple.

My thoughts and heart are with those in Japan at the moment...!

I just watched 30 mins of news and had to turn off, so upsetting, I cant imagine anything like that happening here.It was when the reporter said two public trains have just vanished, totally disappeared in the water.RIP to those who lost their lives and god bless.
