Ouch very much...=( that with good connection?

 

100 mb/s connection. It updated with 2-3 megabytes per second. But redownloading the entire game reaches 200-300kb/s only. which makes it take up to 2000 minutes........

Resetting my net helped a bit.. it should be done in about 6-7 hours. I'm just afraid brother won't allow me to keep my computer on during the night >w<

Just a tip.

If you want to try take advantage of your connection speed without the launcher throttling you it might be worth trying to download the core files directly with a download accelerator.

Assuming those download at a fast speed you could just install the game like I do.

Uninstall via NCSoft Launcher to get rid of your corrupt game, download those files into a separate directory, copy the downloaded files into your NCSoft/Aion directory and then install the game. I say copy since sometimes it deletes them if you get the order wrong so after you click "install" it might delete those two files in which case you'd need to pause/stop the download and copy them back in. The launcher should detect them then and begin installation with only a few small file downloads through the launcher for subpatches.

If you can't get that to work then there's always the worst case scenario where you stop the launcher again, close it completely (including your taskbar), and open those files using 7zip or WinRar and extract them into your Aion directory. This will cause some corruption though so you'll need to repair which is why I'd advise trying to avoid it =p

I remember some people who couldn't get the first method to work managed to if they changed the file extension on their downloaded files, was it .partial? something like that - whatever patch files are when the launcher is still downloading them, but I never needed to use that method.

The first one usually works smoothly for me though.

Currently downloading the two files but it won't really let me uninstall NCsoft/Aion in any way.. not even through the software list.

 

Alright succesfully downloaded the files. The installer also found both files , installed part and then started to download an additional 20GB ^_^;

 

Well looks like the thread was active the few days or week that I haven't checked it. This is where I have been lurking around lately . Sounds like you have some problems there babe hopefully it works! I hope I dont have to go through all of that... If there is one thing i hate about games, its the Download and patching parts haha.

Anyways to answer one of the questions:
Kitty Raiders should be making a come back once I get back home which is around November 1st. I'll need to reactivate my Internet and probably update my client and such. So Might not be able to play until around the 2nd or the 3rd.

 

Uhuh, I hope I can get it to work too >__<! I'll probably just let it download the 20gb in the weekend :3. I'm afraid you'll have to patch quite a bit as well >_<; but if everything goes fine with patching then there's no need to worry. ^^ I normally never have problems with downloading games and such. I get it done fairly easy but because GamezAion is using the sucky NCsoft installer it messes up big time. Slows down your download speed a ton and has a ton of errors. I guess just having a "full download" file would either be too big or would cause other trouble.

Edit : Oh. I just read that GamezAion is on 3.0 not 3.5. Maybe that's the 20GB it will try to download. Should I just cancel it while it does that ? Alenteeeeeeeeee help miiiii! XD

 

Meh nevermind. I'll download the 20GB until Aion 3.5 then downgrade it -______- basically removing the 3.5 again.... ; No wonder this game is getting less popular. Installing it takes ages.
