Launcher Issue with Direct X

Every time I go into the launcher to start the game a pop up appears that says I cant run Aion with my current version of Direct X installed and that I need to download the version after June 2008. Problem is my husband swears he downloaded the latest version. Did it get downloaded into the wrong folder? Im a WoW player too but I miss Aion and want to play so bad so I opted for the free private server. He swears WoW wouldnt be playing if I didnt have Direct X. Is it specific or would the latest version even work? I even downloaded the bat file. It all keeps saying that there are missing files in the launcher as well. I cant figure it out Ive tried uninstalling and redownloading the entire thing.

Those may help:

- Install the latest drivers of your graphic card(You have to uninstall current drivers)
- Make sure that you have installed gamez launcher at the correct path (cprograms file/ncsoft/aion)
- Reinstall Directx from here
