launcher shows server is offline?

    the launcher shows connecting for some time and then shows offline... i can start the game but can't log in - when i enter my username and pass it becomes unclickable (not frozen, just can't click anything) and the the game closes...
    i'm running windows 7 x64 / the game is just installed and, of course, i've downgraded it, put the items.pak and yes, i've tried to reinstall the launcher... pls help me :S
    i had this problem like 12 hours ago, i went out, and now the problem is still here... the server can't be down for that long, right?
