I updated my Aion client just now to 3.0.0.3 and was hoping it would fix few minor issues I had with the client being messed up because I tried playing another server just to check out the 3.0 abyss gear but it seems it didn't.

That announcement on the left side, I'm sure it's not suppose to look like that if you just downloaded Aion client and put Gamez launcher into it so my guess is that it turned like that after I put in the launcher of that server I tried. I already tested re-installing Gamez launcher into hoping it would overwrite or fix it but it didn't so I'm probably trying a wrong method here. The parts covered with black is the name of the server by the way, covered them to avoid being told that I'm trying to advertise another server (why would I? It's buggy as hell, lol).

It's not really a big deal I know that but I just can't sit still knowing there's something unusual on my client and that it might cause me some trouble once Gamez turns 3.0, if you know the feeling :>

Anyone out there who knows how can I turn it back to how it originally was? Would appreciate a bit of your help.

Another thing I want to ask is, I've read a few posts saying that there are files we could delete inside the Aion folder? I think it's those ncpatch files, I'm not absolutely sure which is why I'm asking because I don't want to mess my client up even more. Right now my NCSoft folder is 26.2 GB in size (Screen Shot folder being 1.58 GB and I was also using Japanese Voice Pack) after the update, does most of the people here who got their client updated to 3.0 has the same or almost the same size? Trying to save some space here because I'm starting to run out because of too much anime and after installing D3, lol.

While, the announcment on the side there doesn't matter so much as to where you are playing as it is a seperate file and such.

Appreciate the blocking out of the other servers.

Also, if you could provide more information? Considering GamezAion is being updated to 3.0.0.X ish today at some point. I would say just try and wait it out hun.

    Delete loginnotice.xml from C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSoft\Aion\L10N\ENU\data\ui

    Or C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion\L10N\ENU\data\ui if you're in a 32x environment.

the .ncpatch and .repair files can be deleted, they r like...setup files, totally useless

about the news feed, some private servers add it as xml override or manually overwriting the retail announcement. my suggestion is install the launcher of the private server u played be4 inside an empty folder so u see all the new files added into ur client, then go into ur client and delete the xml that affects the news feed :p

the only legit file u should leave is the d3d8thk.dll in ur bin32 folder as its needed by private servers (retail doesnt have it, gamez installer will give it to u if u need it)

some private server installers look for the location of the aion.bin so my suggest is make a new folder called Aion elsewhere, copy paste ur bin32 folder inside and then install that private server into it. that way ull see all the extra files they bring in. it will most likely be in ur L10N folder

if they used the cheap way, i can override it with a gamez launcher i made a while ago. if they just overwrote the retail one, i can overwrite it with ours
    announcement.rar

extract this in ur aion folder and overwrite when asked

    Tried but didn't worked :/

Deleted all the .ncpatch files but I can't seem to find the .repair files 0,0

I downloaded the patches of that server again and extracted all the files from it into a separate folder but there's just seems to be a lot of them for me to be able to pinpoint which file has been added and which file has been overwritten Dx

Deleted everything in bin32 expect the file you mentioned but when I tried to run the game it won't start so I had to repair the client again then started the game but the the news feed thing is still the same ><

Tried this but still nothing e.e
