Lucent's Signature Tutorial Thread [Lots of pics]

Yeah, I can see the Japanese characters in your avatar. I don't know the language well enough to try and use it. xP I can speak some hiragana/katakana, but kanji is a whole 'nother level. It does look nice though.

You're very good with rending as well.

Really? You should see the first thing I ever made in photoshop, it was ermmm... not good o.o

 

I have experience messing around in photoshop but I've never actually made anything, just played with brushes and rendered things out of extreme boredom e.e; so I guess that helped a bit.

 

Lol, my first signature was an awesome Kakashi sig and avatar combo. x) And by awesome I mean god awful, but I remember where I started. xP

 

Someone on EAion is using that sig lol...

 

That's what I did too I learnt all the things I know about photoshop by messing around with it (I don't know that much but anyway:whistling) and a couple tutorials:lol:

Mine could not be really counted as a sig, it was a picture, some filters, and some text o.o

I usually prefer to use Sans Serif fonts in a pretty small size. Also, if you didn't know, you can test out what your text will look like before downloading it on dafont.com

Heres an example of a decent looking Sans Serif font (imo) and using the box at the top for each font you can just type in the text you want to see a preview of.

Birth of a hero is one of the first fonts I've downloaded, I love it=]
I think the only fonts I use are Times New Roman for the big text and Visitor for the smaller one
My text is always the same, so it keeps getting boring and boring.

Tech fonts and signatures go together like chips and salt, try the above fonts for a new look on your signatures.

Seems like I'm out of ideas for text.

 

I just realized I missed a very important part while making the tutorial, I added it in (its in red text followed by black bolded text) and should make the render blurring part look a lot better, my apologies for not noticing it earlier or adding it in when I made the tutorial.

I'm also going to make a lot more tutorials today on several different things.
