Since Awakened Ahersion's / Invasion Armors are not available ingame, I'm planning to make an Magic Suppression set with the use of Brazen Aegis Leather Set.
    --> BUILD
Will this set reduce more magical damage even though it has lesser (much lesser) pvp def. compared to a full Principal Set?
I'm really annoyed with SW's and gunslingers woop-a-ton insta-3k+ damage so I wanted to make this set to counter that.
    Thoughts?

Isn't Magic suppression used to counter magic resist instead? I could be wrong as I thought MS was also used for MR. With your Malevite glasses you should be more tanky with spell resist scrolls. This set however has more MR bonuses, so yes it is better than princ imo :p

Having tons of MR doesn't affect the damage inflicted against you, instead it gives you a chance to resist a spell. While Magic Suppression is the opposite of MR, no resist but reduced magic damage.

Magic Suppression is the hard counter of Magic Boost,
    1 M.Supp = 1 M.Boost
Yeah with an NHDE Mal. Glasses + Balic Food + Elemental Scrolls, I "should" be tanky enough against magical classes but I still take shit-tons of dps.

Yep I'm aware of god-tiered people like you :p
But most of the population are mostly made up of Amba/Custodian geared individuals so I just want to be tanky enough to face 2-3 of those kind of people.

Well. To completely negate magic boost, you would probably need somewhere around 3k MSupp.
It should be possible though to do. However, you are then leaving yourself open to basically being hit by EVERY Magic Cast known to the game. Which, being perpetually root, silence, bind, etc? Might be best to invest in enough MR to flat out give yourself a hard resist chance (which is capped at 50%).

You could try to get something like 2.5k Msupp and a high amount of MR, to hit around 30-40% Resist Chance. It should, help out more than going pure Suppression.

Since the build is intended for a templar, that's not a problem as a MS set + Stubborn Spirit combination would be disastrous to a caster who isn't paying attention and blows his cooldowns on it.

that's what I'm planning to do for incoming CC's since Stubborn Spirit has Root/Snare/Slow Resist as well as 700 M.Supp.
What I really wanted to know is that M.Supp > PvP def against magical classes (screw fearlocking SM's)

    Thanks for the inputs :3

    Provided that it's a 1v1, 1v2 or 1v3. Against a zerg though, welp :)

I mean that's a good idea and theoritically it works but I'll give you a practical view about the "SW" part of your plan..

If a templar has no excessive damage to do to a SW then a good SW could easily tank the person for as long as it is needed until the templar is actually dead, and not be bothered by his skills not hitting as hard as they should.. The one thing that templars have against SWs is how fast they can kill them with their high damage, fully buffed and geared, and if you don't have that then they probably can just outheal you..

If you do the build and end up surviving longer than you normally would, it just means more time for the SW to heal up and prepare an attack.. A long and NOT damaging (for the SW) fight with a templar might mean that a SW has enough time to cast Dragon Song two and three times and remove all your mana.. You know what that means? You'll probably die eventually even with less damage hitting you at once.. SWs have no problem having long fights with temps (or pretty much anyone) cause temps have long CDs and SWs have heals and instant cooldowns..

If a SW outheals the first "wave" of skills from a templar, all his stumbles, high damage and buffs, then he has all the time to feel at ease and attack the templar without feeling threatened since templar skills have long CDs.. :/

TL;DR, I'll quote someone: "As a templar you need some damage in your build or you won't kill anything, all it does is it just makes you last longer"

That was the starting point now wasn't it o: the MS set is but a survival tool he can take out when he sees fit.

Uh.. I still don't see how it would help @-@ Yeah ok you start with a Suppression set, you don't die instantly, then what? You do know SW cooldowns are instant.. If you switched to your normal set then that means the SW will be able to hit you as hard as they do right now (which is why you're complaining).. What exactly would change? If you wanna try and switch to your Suppression set when the SW is nuking you then okay.. But he will just get all the nukes back within 30seconds.
