Masking extendable doesnt extend?

Mmk so currently extendables are fixed cause i have an extendable spear that hits at range with skill. I just wanted to know if masking a regular weapon with an extendable weapon will make it extend. My legion mates have currently done it and it extended for them but when i did it, it did nothing, just hit at the same 2m. Im just curious how the masking an extendable made there weapons atk at the distance of an extendable and it didnt have the same effect for me when i tried it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

no, if you remodel extendable weapons, the extendable will not stock,2m is the range if you remodel it.
but if you dont remodel it, 7m you can attack...

 

what im currently saying is this.

A few of my legion mates have a regular weapon such as taha sword or whatever(does not extend) and they have the weapon masked with an extendable weapon such as chaos or triroans sword(extends when attacking) and they are able to attack at the same distance as an extendable weapon(6-7m away) with the taha weapon. Im just wondering how this is possible since it doesnt have the same effect for me.

 

Extendables needs to be the main in armfuse eh??.......

+if u gonna remodel ordinary weps with extendable no effect X.....

 

mmk thats what i thought. No idea how they got the weapon to attack from a distance, unless they are just lieing too me. Thx for the reply cheon.

 

I believe that the animation will show it extends when you're in normal range but if you are further away you get the error until you get close. For example I heard the same thing so I took my abg fused weapon and reskinned to a triroan gs. When I attack the weapon extends as if it is a true extendable, however I get the error if I try to hit something from too far away. I'm still testing it, but I dont think its working like my triroan spear works.
