In the end i went to see Sucker Punch.. XD. Didnt find it THAT bad, it fullfilled its role as a popcorn brainless movie, and since I was specting that from it, I left satisfied. I just turned off my brain for 2 hours and was a blast hahaha.

 

it just didnt reach what i expected from those movies.
especially suckerpunch.

I went to go see this and had to leave the theatre, so many...teenagers there. Oh god, the way my peers act is unbareable. Was it worth watching?

 

Almost forgot, if you haven't seen Kick-Ass, time to do so.

If you have, time to awe in wonder as Hit-Girl swears at your face, calling you a c*nt/mofo/all kinds of nasties through the whole movie again.

It's cute, I admit the music was its strong point.

 

pfft, you just watched it to see scantily dressed girls killing nazi robots set to covers of classic rock songs on an artistic backdrop. It was just like a hormone pumped sequence of music videos. The plot was nonexistant. If you want a movie that shows what the plot COULD have been like, check out Shutter Island

Anyways when I went to see it I wasn't expecting a mind game. Having more of a build up would have been nice. Inception was a good movie, I disagree that Shutter Island was.

 

Lots of people have told me the same thing. But I just loved how the whole movie was filmed, the twist, all the psychological thriller parts. I like psychological thrillers lol .

 

Kick-Ass was amazing compared to what I at first thought it would be, I actually watched it again just the other night, which reminded me of Sin City oddly enough.

Anyway, again I suggest Sin City, for those of you that enjoyed Sucker Punch, or were hoping you'd find it to be great, I'd go see Sin City. Its absolutely amazing and easily my favorite film of all. It has the theme and style (if thats what you'd call it) of 300, Watchmen, and Suckerpunch, mostly in that its inspired by a graphic novel, however the directors of Sin City put a lot more thought into the plot. It keeps you entertained by constantly changing perspectives through 3 different main characters and their individual (yet tied together) stories.

Watchmen is also great, but you really have to pay attention and put more thought and intelligence into it than normal, its not just a simple action movie and because of that a lot of people disliked it, which was really disappointing. Personally I think its a masterpiece, well written and it really makes you think, for the genre that it is.
