Near Death experience. do you believe in crap people tell, that when they have clinical death, they see some kind of white tunnel, a man/woman who often is assosiated with an angel and a soft blessful voice, which is considered as an angel's voice and etc. ?

Yes. Medical true is that the brain just imagines things because it's getting less oxygen since the heart spots beating. In other words the brain is having illusions.

I believe that people have seen stuff like that because honestly, your brain can come up with the weirdest shit to show you, it just depends on your perception and the condition of your mind at the time really.

Now, believing those are actually real and not just hallucinations your brain is sending you? Not at all, I'm not really religious myself and I don't believe in angels coming to get you as you die or anything like that, I just think its very possible for people to induce their own thoughts into their mind as they're dying.

I'm not very religious, but I'm open minded to it, and understand several religions well.

But I believe that with the brain losing oxygen you can experience vivid hallucinations which many people have described as a light, or a tunnel.

I really don't care if anyone believes it or not But I was on a NDE in Irak and yes you see the white tunnel and your life flashes before you.

 

I don't think theres any definite answer for this really, not everyone will see something, in fact, a lot of people may not see anything at all, but it is possible to see something.

Imo it mostly boils down to perception, sure the brain will send some weird messages if its low on oxygen and all, but I'd say it more comes down to what the individual wants to believe than the specific hallucinations the brain sends.

For example, you may see a simple bright light, as if you had stared at the sun for a long time. However, while you're dying and your thoughts are all mixed up and such, the individual may choose to believe that the light is actually a divine being, whether it be God or an angel.

Same with your life flashing before your eyes, if you have a lot of memories and people you care for more than you do yourself, you might immediately think of them, and your mind will probably process it at amazing speeds with all the thoughts you will have at once, adrenaline, and other chemicals in the brain at the time, thus you'll "see your life flash before your eyes". On the other hand, any other person may simply lay there and think of a few thoughts, and not ever experience the same kind of thing.

 

very interesting point of view lucent but i've heard that there's been only 15% of nde cases in one of the hospitals, and it's been resulted that almost every person saw the same tunnel, light and etc. some see ram, some jesus...

 

If what Lucent says is true then Snic will see every amazing rock artist from the 50's to the 80's in his death bed. ;o
