There's this one awesome show, where you don't avoid ban.
It's my favorite.

I know you don't like anime much but there are a few I think you should try out. I myself don't even watch that much anime but a few of them I've seen are just absolutely amazing.

• Clannad - You've already seen the thread about this one, after watching this its my all time favorite anime so far, but it also has lots of randomness, if you want a story that cuts straight to the point and follows a very specific plot, you may not like this as much. It has a lot of side-stories but the story and especially the characters are built up amazingly imo.
• Ghost in the Shell - This is just about a 2 hour (or less) movie, which is also absolutely amazing. It was made a while back, but the story is pretty precise and more straightforward, while making you think a decent bit. Kindof psychological as well as thought-provoking.
• Elfen Lied - very violent, tons of gore, lots of nudity, some really messed up themes in it, but overall the story is really good and its a fairly short anime, only 13 episodes. Quite goofy and quirky at times, and then theres the serious bloodbath episodes and sad flashbacks.
• Death Note - This is one I think you'd like because you seem to enjoy things that are constantly changing and not just soap opera-ish. Death Note has a really advanced story and its constantly taking twists and turns. If you ever saw 24, I would say Death Note is kindof like 24 for anime, and the main characters are very unique, not the average.

 

I think the new show Outlaws is pretty cool, as well as Rizzoli and Isles..

I liked death note >.> I hated Elfen lied though. Was too... Sad/Bloody. Like they even killed a dog o-o I mean.. wtf x.x

 

lol edie death note is rather dramatic, kinda anyway i suggest u cake to watch that one, kinda goes on easy

Fringe it's good, also criminal minds I like that one too.

 

hmm, I watched fringe season 1, but season 2 was not out on blu ray so I stopped for a bit. Is it worth starting up again from season 2? Like does it get good or decline in quality?

I found Air to be the least interesting of Key's lineup personally. It doesn't have anything that really draws me in and feel attatched to the characters and care about what happens to them.

Kanon and Angel Beats were great though. Waiting on mah Little Busters anime or Planetarian OVA/Movie. Pretty sure they won't adapt Rewrite to anime so quickly. ><

But ghost hunt was really good.

 

I like NCIS, Criminal Minds, Scrubs, and then theres Walker Texas Ranger(when that show aired in France, the French surrendered to Chuck Norris)

 

I suggest you to watch Skins series... It's awesome!
