Need some help :P

Heya - I've read some other answers about this, but it doesn't seem to work for me I can't fly wherever I want like other people. I've tried editing my system.ovr folder with

g_open_aion_web= "0"
g_save_preset = "1"
g_auto_disconnect = "0"
g_chatlog = "1"
log_IncludeTime = "1"
con_disable_console = "0"
g_freefly = "1"
ng_freefly = "1"

However It just comes up saying 'Cannot Create the C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSoft\Aion\system.ovr file.

Make sure the path and file names are correct.'

Any suggestions?

 

yeah check that ur system.ovr is in the right place and that u didnt rename it by accident

this is what a working ovr file looks like, u can try replace urs with this. if that doesnt help, repair ur client first

 

When you say check it's in the right place - where is the right place exactly

where the error said, just freely in ur aion folder (check its properties that its not read-only also). and yeah check that it still has the right name as it should

u can try download the one from my sig, its been downloaded 2163 times and so far no complaints about it

 

It's in the right place under the right name - and Where's the download? My ability to do even the simplest of tasks on a computer is atrocious

ull need winrar once u do, just locate ur aion folder

i know it might feel more complicated but ive seen enough people screw up trying to use it right so i made it into an installer

Ok so it still wasn't working so I installed your one into a different folder, deleted the original and then cut/pasted your one into the correct folder. It seems to be working now..kinda. The wing symbol is lit up but i still can't fly

 

repair ur client in the ncsoft launcher then, should fix it

btw this might be a dumb question but...where r u trying to fly? some maps r no fly (turned off server side) and nobody can fly there (except for hackers)

 

kk will do - And morheim Please tell me your supposed to be able to fly there beacause i'd hate to have been wasting your time

 

well they change the freefly zones so often that i have no idea right now but this is a way to check. if u can fly in ishalgen (starting map) then the freefly is working properly

but i know beluslan is no fly and so is altgart. morheim changed the most often so im currently not sure. brusthonin was also freefly as far as i know, can try there too
