new 2.0 item.pak and windows XP users

    Hi, i am having the error log problem with the new item.pak and someone mentioned that it was the fault of the item.pak not being compatible with windows XP, i was wondering if this is true or not, and if there is a way i can make the item.pak compatible...and yes i have done exactly wut the item.pak guide's have said, and i know that this is still an ongoing problem for windows XP users...
