That question has bugged me for so long that I did some meditation to go the the spiritual plane and reach the Akashic Records which are supposed to obtain all knowledge in the universe. Once there, I found out that Puddles is indeed a she.

It may seem like that, but don't worry, the universe has a way of sorting itself out. Well except for that one time when a portal to the hellvoid randomly opened at a nearby town and all these demons and cthullu knockoffs started streaming through. That was a right mess and took a long time to clean up. I think by the end of it, there was a group of about 500 of us monster slayers doing all we can just to stem the tide, while a technomancer group worked to close the portal.

Universe almost collapsed in on itself on that one.

But usually things end up working out in the end.
