Hello all, I'm new to gamez, and havent touched Aion since 1.0 (I quit when the lvl cap was still 55 and it was p2p in retail). Essentially I'm new, from reading a couple threads it seems mentoring till about 50 is the best way to lvl, followed by some questing. So my question is anyone out there that on Siel, Elyos side, willing to mentor/guide a newb lvl 32, I could grind mobs endlessly solo but that seems like it be the long unnecessary way. My ign is Caffeinated, and I'm usually on during the evenings. (I do play from the US, Chicago to be exact so keep in mind the time zones.) You can pm me in game, here, or just leave a reply. If not I guess I'll randomly shout in game for one lol. Also is the Arbiter set from Donation still the best PVP set in the game, and is it viable for dungeon running/PVE, or is another set required for that. Thanks in advance, looking forward to seeing ya all in game.

    Hio,

    First of all welcome =)

I'm sorry i'm playing on Lumiel and won't be abble to mentor you, but i don't think you'll have too much, problems finding a mentor.

To answer your question: yes the arbiter sets are still the best pvp sets you can get. and yes you can only get them from credits or trade with other players.
Those sets are totally usable for any type of gameplay, PvE or PvP.
But you should know that augmenting those sets costs a lot of ap and that doing PvE with those will eat your augmenting really fast.

Hello and welcome to our community. Elyos is more populated than asmo side and you pretty much find people at the same level as you are. And since asmo is a bit low In population, the rewards you get from questionnaires are a lot more than what you get from Elyos. And yes governor set is only for donations. You can get pvp items by exchanging Mithril medals to get commander sets. Medals can be obtain by quests and via small events led by GMs on game.

I think I'm in the same boat as you, and frankly, it isn't that hard to lvl without Mentor. I've been clocking around 7-8 hours trying to learn the game again as I've played AION before, but seemed to forgot just about everything. Currently lvl 53 and honestly, doing 'Main Quests' gives you alot of EXP. Some may say that ive been lvling slow etc, but alot of time has been put into learning the skills and the game itself.

Hello, I started a class I'm familiar with, Ranger. Later on I'll prolly make one of the new classes, but seeing as theres quite a bit I need to learn thats new, I figured I should start first with a class I at least know how to play.

The only thing with main quest line, is that a bunch require running with a group/dungeon completion.

Better do things at your own pace for the first days... it will give you a lot more understanding of the game mechanics, skills, GUIs, etc. Getting mentored might be fast and comfartable...you will end up at level 65 within an hour but with no understanding of what to do with your char at all.
