Newbie

Hey peeps, just downloaded the game, having never played the game before trying to figure out what class to play what side and such.
So to help me decide i want to ask these questions

1. Siel/Lumiel which one has the higher amount of players, also what side is the stronger one ?
2. Choosing a class:
Im thinking ranger, but from what i have been reading on forums, they suck ?
Then i thought cleric, always been a fan or healers.
Now im quite the pvp fan, so which one would be the more viable/noob friendly one ?
3. Also what side do i go with does it matter. Asmodian or eloys, which one is the better one depending on server ? ( Does it really matter)
4. If possible could you post some nice guides i could make use of ? ( Ofc ill be lookin for some nice guides myself )

about the error, you have to install the launcher inside your aion folder, then it will work. if you dont have aion downloaded yet, get it first

 

Siel has the higher player count.
Asmodians have the better pvp since there are fewer of us , but that can be taken as opinion only
Rangers do not suck
Clerics take a lot of time and money to be powerful..not to mention practice
Guides can be found under the guides section of the forums

 

1. Siel has a higher population, but is a full stigma server. The races there are about equal, either one you will find a lot of pvp on. I think there might be more elyos then asmo though.

3. Because this is a high rate server, you will eventually be able to unlock both races on your account and will be able to switch around interchangeably. I would suggest choosing your class and then choosing your race since there are slight distinct advantages between them.

4. This is a very confusing game for someone starting out, I suggest you rely on the NCsoft forums just as much as you do here. There is a lot of PvP and very little PvE, you might get frustrated trying to cross the gap from PvE to PvP since gear can always be a slight challenge. If you are completley new to the game, I would suggest creating characters, leveling them to 55, and then getting the 10 platinum medals from them. First time usually always takes longer then you'd think, maybe 4 or 5 hours, but after a while I can make a character, have it leveled, items transferred and deleted in 17 minutes.

 

On a scale from 1-10, how hard would it to get the best possible pvp gear?
And about how long would it take to get it ?

Is it possible to get that gear without donating ?
Meaning that do only donors have acess to the best gear ?

 

u can vote for credits (donators get credits) and buy the gear that way. either that, or u can trade stuff ingame. people merchant here for great gear (including the best sets)

Any pvp gear below that really isn't worth mentioning. ABG used to be the best, but with the recent release of 3.0 with new skills, new gear also came out. the new gear contains something called magical suppression, lowering the intense damage that magic classes have. ABG is just as usuable as the new sets, just slightly weaker on stats and no magic suppression. The good thing about ABG though is it is now attainable in-game through platinum medals and AP.
