Old timer help

Hey guys! After a year of rest from Gamez, I'm glad to be back, however, a small problem arises. Anyone kind enough to share new knowledge I can use to get me back to action? Just simple tips like best assassin/ranger items, pvp areas, new quests and items. Last time I played was 4.0 or 4.5 I think. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

1v1 BG would be your best bet.

 

Well, the best items are the Elite Arbiter ones. You can only buy those in the webshop or get them by trading. However, you can "farm" Special Elite Ambassadors sets by doing PvE. The SEA sets are better than the Arbiter sets itself s when they are enchanted to +20. The new maps are Levinshor, Cygnea, Enshar & others, however the PvP moved back to inggison, lol.
Now you can enchant almost every set (if not all of them) to +20. You have to get amplification tools, amplification stones and omega stones.

Best PvP sets are Elite Arbiter ones right now, WoC2 for wings, and add in Special Elite Ambassador accsessory sets, they have augment which is really nice. I suppose you know about tempering plumes and accsessories. An other option is getting a PvP set by Purifying Custodian/Ambassador gear which can be bought from npcs in Marchutan's Priory/Kaisinel's Academy. Purifying them can be done two ways, you can see the guides about it in guide section, with ceranium medals + purified essences (more expensive CMwhise), cera medals + laurels (cheaper CMwhise). Laurels can be obtained from AM events. In the patch 4.8 zones like Tiamaranta, Tia eye, Katalam, Danaria, Sarpan were removed, so pvp mainly moved to Inggision. As for new maps as Tess mentioned those above + Panesterra which is worked on, contains four sieges, currently unavaliable to go there unless someone ports you. There is the new enchanting system which allows you to enchant things above their level of enchantment for example from a +15 item you can make a +20 and you get a special skill from them (can be found in guide section). Also enchantment rates have been lowered and new enchanting stones have been introduced, omega (used in amplification for going above the cap and really good for enchanting /can be farmed from battlegrounds/), epsilon (sort of good for enchanting), delta, gama. well, this helps a lot! and knowing inggison's back as the main pvp area makes me want to start playing now. i have more questions though? what's the max cap level for every character and is the torrent provided here on the forums legit?

 

Max level is 65. Also I advise not to download via torrent, since after you would still need to update your client.

 

Well the large file is so hard to DL. even though i have a fast internet it would take days or even weeks to finish the dl, that is if i keep the computer on for the whole duration of the dl. is the update that huge after the torrent?
