    Chanter is definately not the best dueling class since the promise of wind doesnt work anymore and inescapeable judgement barely ever stuns. if IJ stunned everytime and it was 100% chance then they would be really good but I made chanter and geared him out, but I lost like every duel cause my IJ never stunned and its at the start of my combo.

    Are you sure lol? For duels you just have to put a chain and use it and make the other to never atk you.... real pvp is when you go 30 vs 40 or 20 vs 20 ... when you have to use certain buffs and not a chain so you have to hit but dont let others hit you... thats my opinion

    and you think what you said helps you any better? spamming aoe's and tons of skills? dueling makes you better and small group fights. such as 5v5 or something because you have to switch to the correct target, silence or blind them ect you know what I mean.

    Dueling makes you better at dueling, not PvP.

    I kinda agree.. 6 vs 6 determines who's better than 50 vs 50..

    Going to agree with the guy above me. Dueling does make you better, pvp just makes you a better leader or a better team player.

    Not only does it make you better at dueling, but it makes you more familiar with your skills... which makes you better at PvP. :)

    You can familiarize yourself with your skills during PvE.

    I agree with Beastxrambo, being good in duel will allow u not to panic when facing the real enemy, Ive found that me being very good at duel rubbed off in fights as well, infact cuz for my class duel is harder thn pvp it made me so much better. Only thing i had to learn was adapt ot the huge environment

    except the problem with that is your fighting monsters which is 100x easier, and you dont get stunned from them like you would fighting another player. By familiarizing yourself with the skills I mean learning what skills do what AND what skills to do at the right time. You cant learn what skills to do at what time when your fighting a computer because all it does is auto attack.

    Btw... ty all you guys posting that agree with me ;)

    Duels are some kind of help for beginners though. They can test their skills on duels just to know which ones to use first and develop a strategy, then they will be ready for pvp.

    Uh, Mobs can hit you with status effects too, and all I'm saying is that getting to know your skills is not exclusive to dueling.

    Also, Pvp is better training for PvP because while dueling you only have to focus on one enemy. In PvP that is rarely the case. You also need to pay attention to the environment, and you're not limited to the ground in most cases, either.

    I'd like to know how a duel on the ground is going to prepare you for flight PvP, 90% of the PvP in the game.

    Same for me lol xD But it helps beginners. I duel my friend sometimes because I want him to learn how to use his skills, I mean the right order, before he can try PvP.

    But that's it, duelling is boring ><

    u guys are ridiculous... holy shit seriously... make me feel like I gotta say the same thing over and over again.
    @Mercykiller

    I'm going to ask you a question and then tell me your answer. I will let that be my "comeback" to you.

    If you were recruiting people to get in your PvP group, would you rather have a person that just got to level 55 and hasen't practiced at all, doesnt recognize what skills to use, isnt prepared for pvp?or would you rather have someone that has been practicing in duels for a week or so, fighting against different classes to get used to what skills they need to use against what classes and what not?

    @Accelerator

    I already stated what duels have to do with normal PvP. It makes you a better player, helps you familiarize with your skills better, understand what skills to use against a specific class, and some others.

    ever since UD i guess so.

    I actually would of thought clerics would be in the lead since they can kite easily, heal, and do pretty good damage.

    Could say the same about you, tbh.

    I'd recruit neither, I'd instead leave room for players who know how to raid and PvP in a group.

    I experience more from pve than pvp. None of them give me a thrill for a warmup. ;)
