    I am getting the same error. I have deleted everything, dl again, updated gamezaion launcher, and still continue to get Aion Gamez client encountered error and will close. I have windows XP. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

    Per your quick reply, I have done this also: GamezAION has updated to 4.0 - please update your client with the NCSoft launcher and grab the new item.pak. Note: You must use the official GamezAion launcher to connect without bugs.

    I still get the same - encountered error closing

    windows xp OS is facing this problem at the moment... we just have to wait for further announcement or updates from them...
    you can play on RETAIL to experience 4.0 at the moment...
