Please reinstall Gamez Aion with the correct path

Hi everyone, so I downloaded the Gamez Aion client, i clicked on the Aion Gamez installerand it installed the game.
BUT when i click on GamezAion.exe this pops out



what should I do?

 

Install Gamez launcher inside Aion's folder.

 

Did you download the actual game from the NCsoft launcher yet? There have been weird people before who thought the 5mb or so file is enough to play aion xd

If you do have the client, make sure you install the gamez launcher inside your aion folder. Anywhere else and it won't work

 

I think yer gonna have to download the full game client as Smartik1 said. What you downloaded is the gamez launcher only.

 

I already have the original NC soft client.

There are a few more ways this could have gone wrong since the new ncsoft launcher just sucks in every way possible.

Make sure the location where the gamez launcher is installed has around 26gb of data. If it is really small (100mb or less) then that is not where your client really is, those are just lame overrides from the gamez launcher etc.

Make sure that the destination has a bin32 folder that has aion.bin inside it. Here are the most likely locations
C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion\
C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSoft\Aion\
C:\Program Files\NCWest\
C:\Program Files (x86)\NCWest\

Whichever of these is the biggest is your winner xd

uhm I have just 1 folder named NCSoft with the aion folder inside.. and it's only 3 megabytes.. but I can't find any other folder referring to the game! what can I do?
P.S. maybe I'm not sure what you were meaning xD

 

Ok I managed to find the right folder in the gameforge live folder.. installed in it but still doesn't work! do I have to install gamez aion in the bin32 folder?

 

oh yeah maybe I have to downgrade it, I'll try to do that however thanks very much for your help so far

 

You just have to install the Gamez Launcher in you base Aion folder. Don't put it into the bin32 folder.
Also make sure your client version is 3.7. If it is 4.0, you'll need to downgrade it to 3.7. (To check which version it is, open the version.ini file)
Not sure if the reason it isn't working is because you're using the Gameforge client instead of the NCWest (NA) Client? I could be wrong on that.

I can't find any version.ini file where can i find it?
also when I downloaded the installer of gamez aion, it came with a bunch of other files (a bin32 folder, a data folder, a L10N folder, an updater and an icon.ico), do I need to copy them into the aion folder or what? Do I just have to use the installer?

Yes, you put them into the Aion folder. That's the point of the Gamez Installer, you choose which folder your Aion is installed in and it'll place them inside for you.

 

jeez. this is driving me crazy! there is no notepad icon in my NCSoft/Aion folder. actually this is what I have:

The image link is broken? Doesn't matter if you can't find it. Just have the Gamez Installer files inside your Aion folder and try running it and see if it works.

 

now you should see it. btw I installed it in the Aion folder but the error persist
