    Equations

    Bricked

    Soft as a pillow
Floating high as the ocean or a river

    Bright like the night's sky

Shooting rapidly while the wind is blowing

Follicles moving but the force is unknowing

    Unshowing yet always there

Piercing words vertically like a line just disappeared

    Harsh

    Open
Both included in the equation that frequently misses points

Unable to plot the thought you thought you had when you made the third to the last dot....

    Angela's Ashes Poem "Why Me?"
Looked down on with disgrace I hear the prayers for thee grace.
I see my mother with disgrace and
    look outside and wonder why.....
    Why me?
This isn't how it should be full of hunger and greed.
Why can't we go back the way it should be. I
can't stand this it makes me sick and a
    thief. I look outside and
    wonder why ..
    Why me?
Robin Hood that's me stealing for thee.
I look back and see all the misery
but in it all I've grown strong
that I have heard thee song.
    I open the door to
    let in the song
    which tells
    me to be
    free.
But still I look outside and wonder why....
    Why me?

    Muhahahaha Reviving this Thread !!

Do not stand by my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am a diamond glint of snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning hush.
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starshine at night.
Do not stand by my grave and cry.
I am not there..... I did not die.

Anonymous Poem Circulated at the Poston Camp (During WW2 Internment Camps)

    That Damned Fence

They've sunk the post deep into the ground
They've strung wires all the way around
With machine gun nests just over there
    And sentries and soldiers everywhere.

We're trapped like rats in a wired cage
    To fret and fume with impotent rage;
Yonder whispers the lure of night,
But that DAMNED FENCE assails our sight.

We seek the softness of midnight air
But that DAMNED FENCE in the floodlight glare
Awakens unrest in our nocturnal quest
And mockingly laughs with vicious jest.

With nowhere to go and nothing to do
We feed terrible, lonesome, and blue:
That DAMNED FENCE is driving us crazy
Destroying our youth and making us lazy.

Imprisoned here for a long, long time,
We know were punished--though we've committed no crime,
Our thoughts are gloomy and enthusiasm damp,
To be locked up in a concentration camp.

Loyalty we know and patriotism we feel
To sacrifice our utmost was our ideal,
    To fight for our country, and die, perhaps;
But were here because we happen to be Japs.

We all love life and our country best,
Our misfortune to be here in the west,
To keep us penned behind that DAMNED FENCE
Is someones notion of NATIONAL DEFENCE!

-Poem from the University of Arizona Library
They've sunk the posts deep into the ground
They've strung out wires all the way around.
With machine gun nests just over there,
    And sentries and soldiers everywhere.

My friend has been talking a lot about how she plans to commit suicide as soon as she turns 25. I can't really say anything.

    25 and Tylenol pills

    Pulse has just stopped.

    It's spookingly weird
how the aftertaste of a birthday cake changes with the number of persons available:
    two make it sickeningly sweet,

and one is this gross feeling on one's tongue,
as falling white pills compose a song
    of steaming summer heat.

    "Well. Happy birthday, I suppose."

Tomorrow you will be reborn anew,
    in the very first sunrise
    of your eternal 25.

I mostly use end rhymes :/

Plus, poetry isn't really about rhyming to me. When I need to deliver my inner feelings onto characters, I write poems. There's that feeling poetry has that usual essays/short stories don't.

Is it /necro time? IT IS.

    Frappucino

    How pathetic.

My life is a small haven I keep to myself.
    Iced bottles of Starbucks' Frappucino,
    dried shrimps and squid,
limed bean sprouts tangoing with salsa picanté Tapatío.

My life has been a chase
    girls after girls,
    after girls,
    and after girls.
When you get to like and want and need so many in your life,
you realize that you can't have them all,

and so you start looking for a steady place,
    to anchor your emotions,
    keeping it from floating away.

    And then I met you,
at a very strange time in my life.*
When my little mind crawled in its Highway
    and matured.
When my own self was trying to define its worth,
    I met you.

You seem so close to me,
yet so far away from my grasp.
What began as pure feeling of lust
    gradually changed itself
into something much, much more important.
    To me, at least.

    Nights waiting for your appearance
    suddenly seem short,
    and the keyboard click-clacking
    pours into my emotions.

    My words are short,
although what I want to say is immeasurable.

    And life goes on,
with empty bottles of iced coffee
    stacking up against one another.

    Nov 10, 2011.

I should stop reading Baca's work. On another hand, raw bean sprouts sprinkled with lime and Tapatio is the best midnight snack, period.

I love, love love writing poetry! n__n here are a few I've written before that are most treasured <3

    "I Wish"
    Code:
    [COLOR=#000000][FONT=arial]I wish to fit in.
    [/FONT][/COLOR][COLOR=#000000][FONT=arial]To be seen again
    [/FONT][/COLOR][COLOR=#000000][FONT=arial]To feel warmth and happiness
    [/FONT][/COLOR][COLOR=#000000][FONT=arial]Upon my cold, pulseless skin.[/FONT][/COLOR][LEFT][COLOR=#000000][FONT=arial]
I wish to feel the air again
To walk out of this room,
    To get better soon,
I want to live, oh doctor, please.

I wish to make my family proud,
To make them clap and smile without doubt,
To talk to my friends once more,
I don't want to enter that exit door.

I wish to breathe in air
To wipe these dreaded tears after tear
To know that I have a simple ability,
    The ability to grow old.

I wish to take the past back,
To keep the smoke from filling my lungs,
    To sleep once again,
I want a dream without the popping of guns.

I wish to apologize to everyone,
To wipe their tears from my hospital bed,
To take back those nightmares they dread,
These machines can't stay on forever.

I wish to die with dignity,
    To do something worthy,
To have lived a long life in popularity.
Why must it end so shortly.

I wish to look at them from upon my grave,
To watch over them and keep them safe,
To warm their hearts and let them know,
How sorry I am, but I must go.[/FONT][/COLOR][/LEFT]

    "Dear Brother"
    Code:
    [LEFT][COLOR=#000000][FONT=arial]Dear Brother,
    Today I couldn't stand
    I couldn't speak
    I couldn't lift a hand
    You see, my dear brother
When you left, you left me here to be.
    And now I don't think
I can ever get to sleep.

    Dear Brother,
    Today I missed you so.
    When mommy slapped me down,
you weren't here to grip me in a hold.
    When I cried at night
You didn't tell me about the happy-making sights
    And now I don't think
    I'll ever be right.

    Dear Brother,
    Today I turned fifteen.
I wish you could have seen.
    I had no cake
    I had no party
I just went to your grave
It's right by our favorite lake.
    I gave you some flowers
    I gave you some prayers
    And now I don't think
I have anything else to share.

    Dear Brother,
    I'm getting older now.
My hair's brushed gray, and I don't know how.
I sit in a wheel chair
That moves slower than a snail
But the only thing I'm happy about
Is maybe soon I get to go up your route.
    And now I don't think
I'll have to suffer from mommy's shouts.

    Dear Brother,
I don't have much to say
But I'm coming up to see you today.
    My fingers are weak
    My heart rate is low
    I'm all plugged up
    To machines down this row
I'm ready to see you now
    I'm excited too.
    And now I don't think
    I'll have to miss you.

    Dear Sister,
I was at your funeral today.
I took your hand, and led you the way
    I smiled to you
    And you smiled to me
I don't think, sad could possibly be.
    I missed you so much.
    I really did.
    And now I don't think
Our fun will ever be rid.[/FONT][/COLOR][/LEFT]

    "Just A Dream"
    Code:
    [COLOR=#000000][FONT=arial]Oh dear memory of mine,
Do you see me as I see you?
Was it all a dream, all a lie?
I wish deeply to see your eyes.

Walk along your way in such bliss,
Oh how I wish I could give you one last kiss.
Is this your image beside me?
Or just another dream of thee.

As you told me not to, I miss you so.
The way you blessed a smile on my face,
The way you warmed my heart,
Which lay in such an empty place.

    I wish you could understand,
    I do try to forget,
    But alas, every try yet;
You're an eternal part of my soul.

I reach for your perfect face,
    Oh please, don't leave me,
Don't disappear, don't lead to be,
Someone who only loves a haunting.

    My angel of the wind,
    Slips through my fingertips,
My life on a strand of hope that you bare,
    But you are not there.

    Oh how bitter sweet,
    Our last memory,
I will keep your words and try to live along,
As you told me to, as you wished for me to move on.

We will grow older, and one day,
    Forget.
But you shall forever be branded into my soul,
And I shall never be whole.

So I will close my eyes once more,
    And your image will come,
One last tear will slip beneath my door,
And a romance that was born, will melt in the morning.[/FONT][/COLOR]
