Problem with Ascension

My character Wafflemuncher cannot ascend for some reason. I finished the quest (it is registered under completion) but I'm still level 9 and a Mage (I was told that to complete the quest, I get to pick my sub-class, but I never received that option). I have no quest items in my inventory or anything like that and I'm at a loss for what to do.

Anyone know if I missed something (first time playing, probably a stupid mistake) or if this is an actual bug/glitch?

 

You bugged somehow, the faster fix would be creating a new char and lvling to 9 again.

 

Yeah, though it took me a while to create a character the first time, that's probably best.

 

try going to Pernos again see if he has a quest for u.if he doesn't try repairing your client (never hurts to do that since we use so much moded stuff here) but i dont think its the client...could be the servers glitch.anyway best way is to do what kaa just said remake a char and try again,don't do anything weird like force quitting while doing the quest or reloging,and tell us if u have the same error.

 

I tried it on another character and it worked just fine. I guess it bugged before because I died as the thing I was killing died.
