Question on which MR Set

I've been playing for quite sometime as people will know within Gamez. However I've never resorted to using MR set, until now. After getting killed by numerous Asmodian Sorcs within 1-2 seconds..literally, sometimes I simply just get to do an Inescapable Judgement, and thats it with my Templar. Even with Elemental defense boost w/ food, and Aether Armor running...it does absolutely nothing, I still die within 1-2 seconds by Sorcs, while it takes a bit longer for SM's.

So now, the time has finally come for me to get an MR set, however which one is what I'm asking? I was looking towards MR chain Set, but upon hearing more opinions by some people I've been told that I should get an MR Cloth Set instead? The reasoning behind that is that Cloth gives out better MR overall then Chain.

It's obviously true, but from a survivability standpoint its pretty pathetic. However in contrast to simply just fighting SM/Sorc which in my opinion is the main reason why I'm getting MR set in the first place then would MR Cloth Set be the more logical choice due to higher MR resist. Or should I just simply go with the standard MR Chain set?

Of course I would like someone who plays Templar mainly or even a Glad within Gamez who knows more about this then I do to answer back and give me a proper education on the matter of which set to get.

 

actually the mr chain set (ironically) has a much higher base mr than the cloth set (ncsoft logic fail, metal conducts pretty much everything )

also u should get the MCD one coz it has really high MR

I played a glad and templar in gamez at one point, I suggest a chain set. I had both Chain (MCD) and Cloth (MCH) mres set, the extra 50 or so mres really wasn't worth it because on my gladiator I could use it against assassins, rangers, chanters, and templars to resist their stuns/rune bursts and slows/binds. I basically used my chain set against every class except Gladiators unless I was confident I could kill them fast enough with my plate set (keep in mind my plate set was ABG, while my chain set was only MCD).

A sorcerer that uses SoF or any other Macc skill will probably be able to hit you still. Also I suggest getting a pair of these babies because of the extra 171 mres.

Also 1 more thing, Mres chain is good for running through zergs in because no one can slow or root you

Chain has lower base mres than cloth, the abg chain has one of the best mres because of the bonuses.

Example: Chain vs Cloth same tier, same quality.

 

MCD set mr will be ok vs mage class, but vs meele he gonna have no chances (no pvp defense).

 

ah yes but it also means no stuns and many other effects ^^

 

not 100 % all the time , max 70% with 2k mr.

 

70 percent is very decent admit it lol pvp is so short here that resisting a single stun can win the whole fight xD
