[Question] What Are Gms For?

sirreusly, i got scammed today and some gm was online <i wont say his name here> i told him i got scammed and he replayed somethin like "im not authorized to deal with thouse issues"
wtf?
i mean, what use r u if u cant help a player?
making pointless events for 100mil? -.-'
banning players? nahhh dont lie, u never do that from reports, only when ppl post SS on forum
u even stopped dyeing players
so my question is very simple:
what is the use of the GMs?

p.s im not here to flame at any1 or start a *****ing war, im just really qurious what r they doin instead of ignoring players on there little island?:bandit:

 

GMs are to assist players in game. I'm sorry you got scammed, but in the first place, Why did you trade without GM assistance? That was your fault.
Also you said GMs do not ban? In that my friend you are really mistaking. Whenver you can prove a report, SSs or whatever, GMs will always swing the banhammer.
Dyes, how do I state this? Dyeing people wastes a LOT of time for the Game masters, when they could be doing something that helps the server, like attending reports, and maybe even doing
events so the community don't get bored.

So please, understand that being a GM is not an easy thing. They are humans, and they can make mistakes too.

dont care i got scammed, no biggie, i got 2 problems:
1. i didnt trade with gm assistance coz there was 1 gm on (and another 2 gms in "stealth mode" that i discovered later) and that gm told me he cant help me with trade coz his busy picking his nose or w/e

2. even after reporting the scam, i asked for that player to be banned, and i even told the gm that was online that i can provide a SS, he just told me his "not autorized to ban" and if his not autorized to ban, what use does he make?

 

Yo! guys GMs are people like you. They just try to help the comunnity =)

 

sitting on there island and picking there nose aint helpping the community. tehre are shitload of problems they can help with, but they dont do it.
why? i have no idea.
i agree that there are some decent gms that do there work properly, but honestly, most of them deserves to be kicked out of there position, and hire new once, with better attitude and activity.

EDIT:
true gms are only humans, but there are different types of humans. and our current gms (not all of them) are from the wrong type.

Well you are not born to be GM, neither you get a certificate to be GM...You just learn this position

For some ppl it takes longer time than it takes for some other to learn how to be a good and helpful GM.
But not even a Pro GM can do much when he is alone online =)
Just be realists and understand that!

 

There are 3 tiers for ADMIN RIGHTS.

their value is 1, 2 and 3

number 3 is MASTER ADMIN, I think Alente belongs at this tier.

number 2(only an observation) are admins that can ban, has the rights for //add commands and the 3 Senior Aion Masters belong to this tier: Autumn, Zodake, Bryne

the rest belongs to the number 1 tier which are the admins I would call more of a COMMUNITY MODERATOR. Coz they don't have banhammers and they dont have the rights for //add commands. That is why when they organize events>prizes are cheap!!

now i know what they are doing on there island while they are in stealth and ignoring players cries for help. they teach each other how to be good gms!

Hey why you being so hard on gms instead of this why dont u send Alente/Bryne a private pm incl proof they should be able to solve ur problems.
Remember gms r there to assist not to hold ur hands 24-7.

Then I moved on to the 58,432 whispers I had because I was the only GM online on Siel. Although I'd love to sit and chat and tell you all the reasons why I cant help you out with your problem, I cant. Not on Siel at least, there are too many people with problems that I CAN help with who are PMing me.

well they need to exert more effort to get to 2nd tier and also. Carl/Karissa gives this rights, you do know that //add commands can procure anything. So they have to be trusted first, just like Autumn. I've seen him since he was a trainee. Look where he is now.

This is just a possibility i see so don't flame me lovely gms> If ever somebody careless or abusive gets the //add command then they can produce anything, kinah and items. they can secretly make an alt then give those items. they can pretty much earn real money(well they can produce kinah too so its real money that greedy abusive gms ,if there is one, will go for) from that. of course trading such needs a really really safe and secret trade. coz i think higher staff(maybe carl or karissa) maybe they can trace trades or whatever.

 

its not about the scam fack it, i dont care aobut the 8b i lost. and if gms dont wanna ban him, thats fine by me, i wont lose any more kinah, but other players might.
its about the system being wrong.
take a look at the tiers jchernandez posted and tell me if its right...

 

if you got scammed its your own fault. And the GMs can't do anything if you don't have evidence to support your story.
Read my trading guide in my sig on how to do safe trades. The GMs spend a lot of time going after hackers and bug abusers.
