Remove inflated mob hp

Discussion in 'Suggestions' started by Kota, Apr 23, 2021.

?

What mob hp would you like to see in Gamezbd?

  1. Retail mob hp (lower)

  2. Current mob hp (higher)

First of all, I support this server so this is simply in my opinion what would make the server more fun to play for me. As retail is a horrible mess, the goal of this server is to make the game more fun and make money obviously.
I've only been playing for a few months so I don't know how long the inflated hp of mobs was here (or if it was like this from the start) and I can't see a why it is a thing anyway other than to slow us down while grinding.

I have life-skilled a lot after grinding early locations, like fogans/polly and even pilu ku. I saved up, and got myself to 271ap. Finally thinking I'll be able to have some fun grinding newer areas, So I went to try thornwood. A 250ap solo location, I tried with 271ap Kutum, simple cron meal and the +5ap event stone from season. Takes multiple rotations just to kill one pack of enemies. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I like to believe I shouldn't need top end gear to grind in a 250 zone. I wonder how unfun it is for people grinding the newest hadum content if the mobs are this tanky.

There probably were asks about this before me, this is how it is, and probably how it will be. Just wanted to ask why improve the game over retail in other aspects but make grinding so much more unfun.

Well, our status are same as retail, our Dev @Kolka already stated that.
What we usually explain, that players sometimes doesn't understand, is that skills has a limit of 10 targets (mobs) and here on GameZBD we don't have an agro limit like retail, so you may gather like 40 mobs at the same time, but you will be applying damage to only 10, and don't forget that since you have a huge amount of mobs on you, you won't be able to always hit the same 10 targets because you have other 30 on your aim. So yeah, that alone could change your perception of damage per time.
We also have another feature that retail doesn't: our mob respawns much faster than retail.

I had already asked the question to Kolka however, with something identical to the official I could solo miru, here no. (Same class)

So I ask myself the question.

As stated, now many times to combat the spread of false information, the monsters on GamezBD should have the same "stats" as on Retail-BDO.

However as our dear @Chiclete pointed out, there are reasons why things that you used to do, or have seen in video clips, won't work here on GamezBD.

It is one of the main reasons I advocate for playing your own game, and stop being a mere sheep following some useless ideology imitating what is being done on the Retail-BDO-servers.

There are also other factors that you might not take into consideration, as in level differences between the monsters and your character Will have an effect on the Accuracy, which means that some hits do not connect.
Moving around to avoid getting hit back, might get you into more trouble as you suddenly attract more unwanted attention from nearby monsters.

I suggest you get all the added bonuses you can get your paws on, draughts, elixirs, potions and food.
