Root Skills

When i get Rooted im bound till im Dead but if i Root someone, regardless who, and i attack him the Root is gone. Why is that so?

 

Different roots. Mage/SM root only lasts until you damage your target, while the Ankle snare or Tendon slice for example are not like that. They remain even if you get damaged and can be removed by either a cleric or a GHP. (Greater healing potion)

 

well got another question bout something fishy: Is there a Class than can provoke a Sendlog? Had it 4 times in a row with a couple of Friends. We was at SSB PvPing and just blub there was a Sendlog for everyone at the same time multiple times.

 

That's the game. Not you. But if your PC is weak, it tends to happen more often. I only get em sometimes in katalam and pandaemonium. Rarely anywhere else.

Me and my friends get the same shit every now and then. We all get send logs. All of us in the same area that is.

as an sm there are times where i can keep doting up a player with root on without it breaking even if they dont have any kind of shield on its weird shit rarely happens though. There are also times when We can use spirit hypnosis and no matter what the sleep wont break so its like 10x more op than fear.

 

Most root skills break on damage. However it is not as simple as that as depending on which root skill, and whether there is sufficient damage before breaking. As noted by the earlier replies, not all root/snares can be escaped through healing potions. i.e. Ankle Snare and Shock Arrow, cannot be potted and can only be escaped through skills.

Roots does not break on damage: Ankle Snare (Glad), Tendon Slice (Glad), Punishing Wave (Temp).
Roots that has a minor damage cap before breaking: Shock Arrow (Ranger), Lightning Tether (AT)
All other roots should break instantly or really low damage cap before breaking. There are exceptions where enemy players have a shield on and this negates that the character has taken any damage to break the root (especially from DoT skills).
