Safezones

    Well the reason gelk and ing worked out so well was because you had one-way safezones from the exit points of silentera canyon. One of them is campable and the other 2 are right next to a windstream with lots of elites below. Going to the opposite faction's starting point takes too much time and is not worth the effort (you'd have to run from silentera canyon).
    Danaria on the other side has 3 entry points (4 including ari's custom teleporters) and 2 of them are pretty much not an option. Either you port to 1 - Paungurinerk's delve which is the same for both factions and even if the 1shot guards were fixed people would just camp eachother right outside the city (just like jotun lake in my first post).
    2 - running ALL THE WAY from katalam and using the gates leading to the northern border of danaria which has 2 bases with a lot of guards for both factions (promoting short-range ping-pong pvp)
    3 - going through idian depths which is full of elites and other nasty stuff. Also inaccessable depending on your entry point (once they get fixed which should be next update)

    If you were to remove safezones in those areas Katalam would turn into a REALLY long ping pong zergfest ranging from Danuar Spire to Kaisinel's beacon. Danaria would be people camping eachother at the edge of Pangurinerk's Delve OR Battlegroup Encampment to Beritra's bane encampment.
    On lumiel whenever someone got a fortress in the opposite faction's map (gelk/ing) the pvp quickly turned sour from the fort ping-pong. This would be the same but on a larger scale.


    And flight pvp only works for ranged classes which would be sorc/sm/ranger/gunner/bard and even they have a lot of restrictions in flight pvp, eventually it would just be rangers dominating it (and nobody's gonna go to Sillona for flight pvp, abyss died due to the long range between the starting areas and nothing to do there).
    Gelk and Ing were introduced in 2010. We've been there and at the "original" zones (heiron/belus) for THREE YEARS already. How bout we don't go back to doing the same thing for another year and a half till ncsoft comes up with 5.0 and another potentially bad area.

    well, i agree with you guys! safe zone are ruining gamezaion :-/
    a good thing would be your race have to capture a zone if you wanna be safe !!!
    your race capture the zone and you are safe but not the the opponent race :)
    that would be fun instead of 2 race camping in the safe zone :-/
    its really getting boring guys!

    Uhm what about... If you leave safezone, and reentry it will start to deal 1k damage every 1/2 seconds...
