[Serious Business] Hot Spam

Hey folks,


It's been the second day since I'm back and I've to admit that Gamez forum disappointed me because 'Hot Spam' section is dying.

Just look at this section, it used to be a place where you could have fun after a busy day, chill and joke around with friends but not anymore. For some reason it bacame a ghost section where random thread pop up, shine for 1~2 days and then die.

The topics of the threads that are made there have becoem so lame and old-fashioned. Most of them are recycled again and again...

This belongs here, in 'General Discussion' for the simple reason that we have to do something in order to change things here. Besides, this is the place to discuss such matters about the forum and it's community. It seems like Admin wants to kill the most favorite section of all...

So, let's tak about things we could do in order to:

- bring the 'Hot Spam' back to life

- clear the forum from drama

- make this forum a better place for the kids! wait, what?!

Rules:

The fact that people have been infracted for "spamming" in the hot spam section, might be a reason why it's dieing.

 

I got banend for spamming in hot spam...in game. Fun time

 

Yes, I heard about it... All who did infracted should get spanked o.o!

Rules are less strict in 'Hot Spam' but they still exist though.

lol jk though the real problem is that a lot of the regular people who used to post and spam are getting less and less active

I know many quitted when Alente and other GMs resigned from Gamez. It's true that I don't see many people active anymor but hey, we are still here alive !! =]

 

Ive been playing my Xbox lately. Just beat Assassins Creed Brotherhood(played ten hours straight the other night lol) going to go back and finish my second playthrough and DLC of Mass Effect 2, then I need to finish Darksiders.

Gonna get a new laptop probably in the next week or two then Im gonna check on wat PC games to play until GW2 and D3 come out.

 

I gave you a list. Go try them lol. Their's only so many decent ones out there.

Also I do agree that Hot Spam is dying.

I don't have the power to do it. There should be made some changes in forum. Hot Spam is way too over-strict with with the rules..

WTF! I think there should be no limit here in hot spam. As what i have known in all forums, Hot Spam = No Rules in Posting except those any disgusting, advertising or bla bla bla posts..

Yeah, this is how it works the right way in most forums...

But here in Gamez we got the same old and lame forum all this time. As you can see yourself, it's used mostly for in-game issues, QQ'ing after updates and flame wars.

Of course we got monthly Drama fest to keep things interesting and attract more new members to join -since drama always attract people, it's human nature to be curious- and that's all.

Unfortunately, we lack of good moderation and I;m not talking about making people to follow the rules but about updating the forum, clear it up every 3~4 months, keeping an open feedback thread, updating the rules and keep Hot Spam rules 'free'. WE need more in forum events, more specific rules for every section, renew the existing ones and add new sections we are missing...

There are plenty stuff to do but it seems that noone really cares -or even bothered t ocare- at least as long as I'm here -have to admit Dementa did some good job as Mod but he was a troll-
