Server Reboot Suggestion!!

I don't know, with all the rollback that has been going on lately, I don't think 3-5 hours is a great idea right now.

 

This is a nice idea but has already been suggested recently but with a bit more of a gap between restarts.

I think it would be good, aswell as a //save feature, not only for items but for AP aswell. Went to star 2 in a few hours and lost it all to rank 5. Though i think a way to actaully solve the the over population aswell as help out Lumiel would be to have some incentive for people who are on Siel with characters to actually switch over. I have seen topics on character transfers like on retail where you can move characters over. But that might cause more problems considering items are 1000x more expensive on Siel then Lumiel.

zZzZzZzZ try to develop a restarter that knows when the server crashed forreal and they might use it since all the programs that do that on any kind of server only read the process if its working they wont do anything if theyre not working then theyre going to reopen it again thats the way it works.
and since when the server "crash" is more like it just stop responding "Freeze" gl with that...

btw nice idea... wonder why they didnt thought about it in first place.

actually the program i saw on AL a few months ago because now i'm not active there anymore due to school restarts the server every "x" time and idk if it restarts it automatically if it crashes before an restart!

 

Instead of an auto reboot!! make a server prompt that when X amount of prompt commands have been authroized it will restart the server. //Reboot or what ever... just when enough ppl have initialized the command query the server will begin a reboot! would be better then an hourly based reboot!

 

since when thats the point of the restarter? thats not the problem were having here the problem is the server freezing and a restarter that is gonna work when the server does that.

the thing here is the server can be up for 20h why would you wanna ruin it with your restarter restarting it every 5hours when the problem is the server freezing and theres no restarter for it

man i suggested it i didn't say that i know how to do it..Gamez Staff should know how to make it!

 

then why suggest something that you dont even understand or your aware of the way it works, or you just do it cause you think is funz? O:

 

i said that i saw that when i was active on AL a few moths ago and considering that gamez is crashing constantly in the last days and that other pservers are using that program i suggested to Gamez to do so too!!

The servers been crashing since early June... I was there. Every single day it crashed. nothing you can do about it, since this suggestion has been continuously made, but never implemented.

 

it's their choice to implement it or not i only suggested it cauz i saw other servers using it and working fine so if they will implement it it's for their own good i'm just a player here and i can say that i care about their server but i'm not earning nothing for it so i play here just to have fun when the server it's up when it's off i find something else to do cauz really i'm not addicted to Aion but 80% of the players here are!
