Shining chests, is this normal?

Hello all! I got a question, so I know we've been receiving shiny keys to unlock shiny chests, and while questing I actually found one, however its in a particular spot which is strange lol. And not only that but when I was trying my hardest to try to open it, 4 others spawned right next to it, literally! Is this normal? Or does the game feel bad for me not being able to open one that's inside of a rock? I mean, I'm not complaining, but I just thought it was funny when I realized I couldn't open the one inside of the rock and 4 others just magically spawned right next to one another. lol Just wondering if anyone else has had the "rock" problem too as well as seen other chests magically spawn near one-another lol.

 

I believe they normally spawn in "packs" of 3-5.

 

on retail they spawned 1 at a time on here it seems 3-5 at a time lol

 

So how long is this event going to run for?
I am in the middle of moving out of the city, so am I just going to have to throw those keys away because I was unable to be actively online?

 

Majority of the time I just get crons from those, so you're not really missing out. (っ´ω｀c)

 

Ah I see, I apologize for the late reply for those who commented, my internet wasn't being the best this past month lol, but I'm happy to say that old Wraithhunter is back hehe. I've still seen some here and there even in 3, 5 seems to be the rarest lol. I actually got a key from a chest which was actually strange but still. Reason of making this thread too was because after I opened those 4 I realized that it might of been a bug and didn't want to abuse it lol. But great to know, and its nice to see ye again Lareldal .

Ah ye, I thought it was over a week ago, because I stopped receiving keys from the daily login, but realized it was still going on lol

keys to the shining boxes?
Last patch deleted them?

 

yeah unfortunately the event is over, however there still might be some chests out there in the game-world, not sure.

 

Is. And that's a lot. If only I had some lockpick or crowbar ...

 

I swore I would never post a "uselss" post, but here I am about to...+1, one up to that, I agree completely...boy I miss the games with lock picks part of it, also the ones with puzzles to open said locks, or the ones with chest where you had to answer riddles to open them

Hilarious, but it is such a waste of time in my opinion, the time it takes to make a "good dig" is dwarfed by the income you might get in the same amount of time while just grinding.
