Start Banning People

Very simple suggestion if you wish to gain, and keep, players that are capable of keeping a job, and thus able to donate:

Start banning the players who have joined for the sole purpose of trying to ruin the game for everyone else - simply because they lose nothing for being banned here.

I don't mean the PKers... that is rage inducing occasionally, but expected. I don't mean the jerky idiots who think they are 'savage...' they are just annoying. I don't mean the fools who like the fact no names will get them banned, so create purposely racist, sexist, grotesque names... they are just idiots.

I mean the players who are spamming duels as boss fights start, so the player that accepted on accident stays dead the entire fight and gets no loot. Covering the bosses with half a dozen tents to purposely lag other players out of the game. (This is tantamount glitch abuse.) Using chat macros to fill the chat window with ascii images. These people. Those who have joined from retail for the simple sake of trying to ruin other people's gameplay, because they are comfortable with the fact that even IF they get banned, they lose nothing in retail.

Bots are starting to crop up. Animation speed hacks are showing up. All because there is zero recourse for those of us who like this server, actually try to exist as a semblance of a gaming community, and no punishment for any of their actions.

My suggestion is actually begin rule enforcement, or lose the stable player base.

 

The solution is simple. If you ever come across these cheaters, record and report. I will be more than happy to take care of these people.

Believe me, many people have been banned so far for various reasons. We have no intention of letting these people violate the server rules and literally ruin the fun of others.
