T4 Hogs slow to gather?

Based on some research around, the Tier 4 hedgeogs should be gathering every 1 minute and the recommended energy is 290+
I'm currently using 4 Tier4 hogs and they seem to be gathering too slow or sometimes not gathering for more than 10 minutes. Does this happen often?

Well, as I do not own these types of pets, I am not the best at giving out advice about this...but if they behave anything like the "auto-aggro"-pets then yeah, it all depends on a few things. Range to the resource, time it takes to "ping" the resource (actually noticing that it is there), is you character moving around as well, does your character take the time to do the gathering before moving on...I just know that most -if not all- of the automated-pets have some serious restrictions that basically make them not really worth it at all in the end, unless of course you are standing in one place and just letting them gather the same things over and over again, while being AFK, then they might be worth it for the few times that the resources respawn in an hour.
