Why did you put three exclamation marks behind the -No- option, meanwhile you put only two behind the -Yes- option?

I think people should be responsible for what they say and learn how to constructively approach a debate to keep it as just a debate, and not an argument.

I think it would be okay to have a flame section of the forums, because some people want to troll. Thats really all there is to it, some people don't specifically want a head-on argument with another person, and they damn well don't want it to be solved, they simply want to troll. Having a flame section so people can literally do just that (maybe take it out of latest posts) would be a decent idea, but a chatroom for a staff member to watch over 2 people arguing like they're on a playground? It sounds pretty ridiculous, honestly.

Anyway, people aren't always going to have someone there to babysit them, so they need to learn the maturity, composure and constructiveness that is needed in every day life, so let them learn.

-Yes - Im always around unless I am out of the house... or cleaning..
-Yes, Anytime, just keep in mind the times zones... and if possible give the person a heads up that you will need them..
    - Monitoring will go on for as long as it needs to.. Its not over and done with til both parties come to an agreement, or a common ground.

Your first sentence is irrefutable, Lucent. I have no argument for it, but I do want to add this.

We're people. Not every person is capable of expanding their intelligence beyond that needed to keep a debate constructive. It's in our nature to want conflict and drama.

The reason we don't want a flame specific forum is arguments turning into personal wars where information is leaked, especially today seeing posters on the forums are already extremely edgy. It'd be used later in the long run and do nothing but inspire malice and ill-intent, whereas having the two people wanting to argue themselves with a supervisor is 60% (A guess at number, I maybe wrong but I'm willing to admit) more than likely going to produce a positive result.

And the bit of not having an AM online at all times is moot - I'm pretty much on the forums every night, and Bella during the day, so there's always someone available.

We should name the room...Mortal Kombat Chat Room. :) (lol jk)
I hope that things won't get worse after you put 2 persons face to face and let them unleash their rage.

Thats why I threw in there with a staff member to monitor, witness, etc.. So it does not get that far and make it worse..

People aren't going to learn respect and be able to maturely handle each other's difference's and walk away somewhat civil on their own. And certainly, not everybody has the common sense level to give constructiveness in an adult manner...

I said "Or Mediators", and basing from that - yes. They're called Officers, Deputies, Sheriffs, Cops, whichever variation you choose to use.

I would say i would help mediate but I am not able to. I have taken psychology classes and have alot of patience to be able to handle all that but it doesnt take much and I think Bella that this is a wonderful idea no matter what anyone else thinks

Police basically are moderators/counselors. I mean to be a cop these days you have to take some psychatrist classes. A Police officer would rather talk it out with the people than something harse happens or someone goes to jail. So yeah, police are also like counselors.
