temp guide?

guys plz advice me about temp manastones..
and wat is the best prtner for shield? eIther sword or mace^^;-) pls^^>

 

Lots of guides in the furom. Just dont be lazy to search formit

Sword or Mace: - Mace ( DDL or Furious ).
Manastones: - You need have Crit ( Obvious for more skills crit ), Accuracy ( Mainly for players using block in set ), Magical Accuracy ( For godstones and skills efect ( Dazing Severe Blow, Divine Justice, ... ) ).
It's what i think and what i use.

 

I am not good but here is what I know, surely is incomplete and some other people can elaborate more deeply.

Builds:

Critical and Block:
-Good against melees and going Greatsword hero most of the time.

Critical and Magic Resist.
-Prevents roots and some CCs from melees. With Aether Armor you can resist and counter most (not everyone, nor everything) of the pure caster classes. A build for pvp mostly, but your dmg becomes very buff dependent.

Critical and Accuracy:
-DPS build, good if you have top tier gear with a lot of base defenses and resistance. Good for PVP but some defenses go down.

Critical and Magical Accuracy.
-Good for godstone procs and the use of the magical skills of the templar. Some are very strong, but this build requires you go forcefully with a Mace with good Magic Boost.

Mace/Sword:

It depends on the play style mostly. Some will tell you that you are noob for using sword. Meh... its your call.

Sword has faster attack speed, good constant dmg, high accuracy and decent critical bonus.

Mace is slower than a sword, more dmg but random, the accuracy is so so, but a lot of critical dmg. But what matter the most is the Magical accuracy stats or the Magic Boost stats, this is required if your build is magical oriented.

And well, dont go full buff against people, manage them as the combat goes almost everything the templar has last for 30 seconds, if you go full buff it ll only be for 30 seconds, and some cool down times of the skills are in the 10 minutes mark, so use them accordingly. While the Greatsword is neat and cool to use, the shield is where the real magic of the templar is.

 

♦Manastone build is pretty much dependent on what set your using and your preference.

>Crit/Block/SR would be good in BM set (lots of block bonus) this is for fighting physical classes (sin,ranger,glad,temp,chanter)
>Crit/Accu - Crit/MR - Crit/MAccu for EAC/ACD/Shedim/Ambassador set

♦Sword or Mace, mace is overall best for temp (DDL or Furious) but for Crit/Block build, I'd recommend using a PvP Sword (Arbiter's/Shepherd's/Discordant) with Blind GS, you'd be dealing burst damage since sword crits better than mace.

 

There are 3 types of Templar play style:

Full DMG Templar
Description: Pretty much a tankier Gladiator. This build, are for those who like to 1v1. 1v2. But if you know how to play the class, probably 1v2+.
Manastsone: Crit/Accuracy or Crit/Atk or even balanced between the three, Crit/Accuracy/Atk.
Weapons: Sword vs Mace? Always Mace. Use a mace for the M.Acc (The magical stun, the pulls, etc). You don't breakpower with your shield out. ever.


Tank/Passive Templar
Description: This way, you kite out your enemies burst. Then when they're low on CD, or they're worn out, you unleash everything. Good for 1v3+.
Manastone: MR/Block or MR/Crit some people use MR/M.Acc/Crit
Weapons: Sword vs Mace? Mace.


Hybrid Templar(Armor Switch)
Description: This play style is for the people who are able to afford multiple Armor sets. Templars who could change armor during a fight is deadly. IF they encounter mages, switch to MR and kite it out, then switch back to their DMG sets and just pwns them.
Manastone: Set 1: MR/Crit or MR/Block or MR/MR | Set 2: Crit/Atk/Accuracy
Weapons: Set 1: Mace with Silence godstone. Greatsword with Silence godstone. Set 2: Mace with Blind.


Going in depth with Templar or any class is pretty much self explanatory. You need to play the class and practice with it in order to get good at it. Can't just read stuffs online. You could read guides for reference, yes, but you'd have to actually practice it first hand. Good Luck.
