    Im sorry but to even be considered in the running for the greatest anime you need epic fight scenes, like in Hellsing, Tenjou Tenge, Yu Yu Hakusho, Avatar the Last Airbender(it might not technically be called anime but COME ON! the effects and animation are beautiful and all the fighting styles are based on REAL Kung Fu styles), Sword of the Stranger, Seirei no Morbito, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Blade of the Immortal, Gintama, Blade of the Immortal, Darker than Black and so forth. You thought I was gonna say Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece didn't you? Well I didn't so HA!

    Well fight and action are good but it doesn't really need any fight to be good, only a good story line.

    there has to be at least one epic fight, its a requirement in the officially official greatest anime rules that is truly actually really real and not something I just made up :p

    o_O Not really, thats not everyones taste, it makes a lot more sense for a "greatest anime" to be something that anyone and everyone can enjoy to the fullest. Personally I dislike too much fighting in animes, just feels like a cartoon. I enjoy deep and well made stories.

    it doesnt have to be all about fighting fighting but it must have at least one fight scene according to the greatest anime handbook, think about death note, it wasnt about fighting and had a great story but there was one hand to hand fight between Light and L that was cool so it meets the requirements :p
