When i had commander on my sorc but no gear (traded it to another set for another char) it would be like this.
Oh i need jurak to craft this food, kay ill just scroll to primum and buy the morph recipe.
then bam 6 elyos on you and -100k ap. It's not funny and it's incredibly annoying.

 

putting shields back up would completely kill any pvp left in abyss. proven from experience when we had them up once before -__- and whos gives a flying **** about it being "un retail like" this is a prive (PVP) server we have many things tweaked for the purposes of improving pvp and the ease of having it. dont like being camped there? get a group together and go beat the crap outa them and dont use the camping spawn as an excuse... i remember back in 1.9 when that happened they would send sorc and cleric through and use lumiel shadowburst and WOD destroy everyone camping the spawn and then sends groups through rapidly to launch a counterattack on the other base
